Double Edged Sword: MI Prayer and Action – Supreme Court Marriage Ruling

 

There is much breaking forth in the news as we all know. Yes, it is summer and people are taking vacations. But the battle for the soul of our nation is raging. Michigan will continue to advance the kingdom of God. Transformation Michigan and the Oak initiative have scheduled some meetings below to help meet the needs of a church that is facing increasing challenges.

Take some time to see if you may be interested to attend. A few other announcements are included as well regarding the prayer movement in Michigan and a national prayer gathering on the mall in Washington DC – July 2016.

NOTE: We are making every effort to unify with ministries, churches, Christian conservatives across our state. A house divided cannot stand!

GOD AND GOVERNMENT: “The Supreme Court and Marriage”

Churches, ministries, and Christian conservatives are presently coming together where we have launched a series of meetings across the state of Michigan. One of the aspects of our double edged sword plan is action. A series of seminars have been arranged across the state of Michigan with many more to come. There are many ramifications the body of Christ will face and we must educate the church on what it can do and discuss the various aspects of peaceful civil disobedience.

PRESENT SEMINAR LOCATIONS ARE LISTED. ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. NO REGISTRATION FEE!

TOPICAL AREAS TO BE COVERED:

  1. Position on Traditional Marriage vs Gay Marriage. What are the challenges the church will now face in lieu of the negative ruling by the Supreme Court?
  2.  501(c)3 – Solutions?
  3. What are the legal protections that can be instituted and applied for pastors, Christian business owners and any Christian defending Biblical principles regarding marriage or any other issue?
  4. What about Christian conscience regarding performing Gay weddings or for Christian Businesses?
  5. What is peaceful civil disobedience? How does it look? What are the possible ramifications?
  6. Does the church have a responsibility to stand against evil proclamations? Should the church unify to be more effective?

BIOGRAPHIES OF SPEAKERS:

Professor William Wagner currently serves as President of Salt & Light Global and the Great Lakes Justice Center.  He is Professor of Law and Director of the Human Rights Center at Trinity International University. He is also Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Western Michigan University (CLS).  Professor Wagner is an internationally recognized expert in constitutional law and good governance. As lead amicus counsel in various matters before the U.S. Supreme Court, he authored briefs on behalf of various Christian organizations. He also authored written testimony, evidence, and briefs in such forums as the Swedish Supreme Court, the U.S. Congress, and the U.K. Parliament.  He has further addressed many executive, legislative, parliamentary, and judicial audiences throughout the world, and presented at various diplomatic forums including the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. Professor Wagner’s public service includes serving as a Federal judge in the United States Courts, legal counsel in the U.S. Senate, senior assistant United States attorney in the Department of Justice, and as an American diplomat. His writing is published in numerous journals, books, and other publications.

David A. Kallman, Esq. serves as Senior Counsel at the Great Lakes Justice Center.  He handles cases at every level of the Michigan Court System and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Idaho, the United States Court of Appeals, and other tribunals. He is a nationally recognized expert on home education law and has handled hundreds of home school cases.  He was the trial attorney in the DeJonge case, which resulted in a Michigan Supreme Court decision in favor of home educators teaching their children without excessive government regulation. Kallman is a frequent speaker on legal and cultural issues and has testified before the Michigan legislature on various issues. In 1982, he started a general practice law firm, now known as Kallman Legal Group, PLLC. He built a successful litigation practice in many areas, including: church/state law, constitutional law, homeschooling/ education law, family law, criminal law, and administrative law. In 2008, the Michigan Supreme Court unanimously appointed Kallman to serve a three-year term as a commissioner for the State Bar of Michigan. Kallman serves as an adjunct professor of law teaching various legal courses. He is also actively involved in his church and served for many years as president of the board of a local adoption agency.

Stephen P. Kallman, Esq. serves as Senior Counsel at the Great Lakes Justice Center. He is a frequent speaker on legal and cultural issues and has testified before the Michigan House of Representatives.  Kallman was admitted to the Michigan State Bar as an attorney in November of 2011.  Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, he serves as a third generation attorney at Kallman Legal Group, PLLC. After playing Division I basketball at Maryland Eastern Shore University and Cleveland State University, he finished his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration in 2008. He received the degree of Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011, graduating Cum Laude and making the Dean’s List every term while in law school. Kallman also serves as an adjunct professor of law teaching various legal courses.

REGIONAL MEETING IN ROCHESTER ON JULY 19th

Sunday July 19th 6:00 pm, Rochester First Assembly will be hosting a regional gathering of Intercessors, Prophets , Pastors and leaders.    Rick Warzywak, founder of Transformation Michigan and the Hidden Ones, Moravian prayer movement in Michigan;  Prophet/Pastor Lee Williams from Redford and Apostle/Pastor Diane Chappel from Detroit  will be addressing this gathering with key information about our nation and what is taking place in the biblical timeline we are in.   The evening will start at 6:00pm with a dinner and fellowship time.  We are asking everyone to bring a dish to pass.  The meeting will begin immediately afterwards. Much valuable information will be given out to be shared with your sphere  of influence.

RESET: NATIONAL PRAYER GATHERING – WASHINGTON DC MALL – JULY 2016

As some of you know a number of individuals in Michigan have been designated to mobilize our state to bring praying people to the Washington DC Mall in July 2016. It will be a time of unprecedented unity in the body of Christ. Numerous national ministries are endorsing this effort such as Franklin Graham, Lou Engle, Rick Joyner, Dr. James Dobson, Campus Crusade, Inter-varsity, Southern Baptist…and the list goes on and on and on.
