24/7 365 Day and Night Prayer

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against  itself will not stand.” [Mat 12:25]

What does 24/7/365 day and night prayer mean?

It literally means to pray 24 hours a day – seven days a week – over a time span of 365 days a year (See Herrnhutt on Home page).  The day is split up over 1 and 2 hour time segments where various prayer groups, churches, focus groups, etc will take part.  The burden of prayer will be shared over 83 counties in our state which provides a large pool of individuals who have heart of prayer.  Each week has 84 two hour time segments times 52 weeks which comprises one year.

What is the purpose and importance of day and night prayer?

Every revival, visitation, or move of God, has been preceded by prayer.  Jesus said His house would be called a house of prayer and that a house divided cannot stand. The Bible says to pray without ceasing. The numerous references in God’s Word regarding persistent and consistent prayer clearly define the need especially in the day that we are in.  The world is presently shaking and we need unified prayer.

Is praise and worship in music and song necessary as we gather?

The answer is yes and no, but music and song certainly can take people off the rock pile as they pray.  There is power in sound and song.  The Tabernacle of David is being re-built.  It is a great help to get people to focus.  Singing songs of praise and thanksgiving before we pray can set a conducive atmosphere that prepares hearts before God.  Many say the marriage of praise, prayer and worship is the rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David of Acts 15:16. Others say it is like filling a bowl up in heaven with our prayers.

People come together and pray in different ways.  Some may sit or some may stand. Some pray in a vocal way, while others will rest in silence and pray.  God allows freedom, so pray as you feel the Lord will lead you to pray.

What if our church chooses to pray within its own format?

God answers prayer.  Nobody is to force others into what they are not.  God is given each body a specific design and purpose to fulfill a calling to extend His Kingdom purposes.  We are to respect each other and not to look down upon one another.  Each part is unique in its function and all things will work together for good.  The call is to pray according to how God and his Holy Spirit is leading you!

Can our existing prayer meetings be incorporated into the 24/7 state prayer?

Most definitely!  Many regions in our state already have a persistent and consistent prayer going up and have labored faithfully for years.  The dots are being connected across our state county by county, church by church, prayer group by prayer group and individual by individual.

Who will take those early morning two hour time segments?

Within these early morning and late night prayer segments may be the time of greatest blessing or where a visitation of God may occur.  By faith God is already preparing a people across 83 counties in Michigan to take these times for that right time.

How will this be coordinated?

Everything is a process that depends on the grace of God along with his favor and blessing.  We walk by faith and not by sight.  The laborers are stepping forward now county by county.  God will provide the needed manpower and finances.  It is you in the body of Christ who are needed at this time.  Every part must function and respond to the call.  Do you feel the stirring now to be part of 24/7/365?  Now is the time!  A web site is under construction and will be for some time.  It will be a communication and networking point as the plan unfolds.

Isn’t this vision too big for any one person or one group to bring forth?

The answer is a resounding YES!.  All parts of the body of Christ are needed to cooperate, network, connect and be an encourager and exhorter of one another.  It will truly be a work of co-labor where no one person, group, or organization can take credit.  Jesus Christ will receive all the glory, because it is by His grace where all things are possible.  Our children and grandchildren are at stake.  We have an opportunity to be history makers and transform our state.  Who will rise up and take their place?
