Colossians 3:12-14
Webster’s Dictionary defines Unity as- the state of being one, oneness, singleness, being united, the quality of being one in spirit, one purpose, harmony, agreement, continuity or fixity of purpose, and action. An arrangement of parts or material that will produce a single, harmonious design or effect: Recently I read a word that was spoken over Detroit, stating , “The Greatest Key that the enemy has held is” the key to Unity” We the church must contend for this, for when unity takes place the walls of the enemy shall come down and this city will be saved”.
Lord Jesus, We come into agreement with your prayer in John 17 that we, your church, may be one just as you and the Father are one. We ask that every device of the evil one to bring separation and division into the body of Christ in our state would be destroyed by your powerful hand, we ask you to baptize us with your love that binds us together in perfect unity. May the spirit of offense and prejudice be broken off, denominationalism be placed aside and racism and separation be replaced with love and acceptance for one another. Lord, May your Character be reflected in your Church. Amen
