TONIGHT’S CALL – ROSEMARIE WRIGHT…FROM THE VALLEY TO THE HIGH GROUND…FIGHT!!!

We as a spiritual army are in a valley of decision. Most of us have concluded the battle we are engaging in will determine the future of our nation. Our children and grandchildren are at stake in this battle as well. Freedom always comes at a cost where there is a great expenditure of time, our talents, and resources where loss of life and reputation can be a result for some of us. There is always a ground game in the battle and in war terminology can be termed as the “trenches”. The goal is to get to the high ground which I believe is exemplified in Proverbs 14:34…”Righteousness exalts a nation.” The high ground is a place where our enemies can be easily seen. As we battle in what the Bible called the first heaven, the earth realm, we see our enemy attacking us from the second heaven. We must fight to be in communication with the high ground of the third heaven where strategies and directives will be given to us to secure a final victory. May we use the story of David and Goliath as an example.

DAVID AND GOLIATH – I SAMUEL 17

Intercessory prayer is where we attain the high ground to defeat the many Goliaths that we are facing. We keep saying the intensity of the battle will get more heated as the weeks and months progress soon. May we carefully read first Samuel 17 as God used David to slay a great Giant that held Israel in order fear. Goliath’s name is of Hebrew origin, and the meaning of Goliath is “exile“. The giant was killed by David in the valley of Elah. David knew size doesn’t matter, it’s HEART, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT is all that matters. You can apply the same principle and same level of thinking to your life and the challenges we are facing today. Think bigger than the challenge, be bigger than the obstacle, and act as if it’s impossible for you not to fail.

David had an incredible peace that was instilled with boldness and courage even though the enemy seems so big. He had a communication with the third heaven high ground and God prompted him to move forward to take the land. So, David hurls a stone from his sling and hits Goliath in the center of his forehead, Goliath falls on his face to the ground, David cuts off his head. The Philistines flee and are pursued by the Israelites “as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron”.

It took the courage of one young shepherd boy who led Israel to the high ground and victory. So here we are today, God has chosen us to go up to the high ground knowing full well we must engage in the trenches or valleys first. Stay the course and hold the line!

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)

“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.” (Psalm 2:4)
