TONIGHT’S CALL – COREY SHANKLETON ON BUILDING THE ECCLESIA…REPORT ON ISRAEL AND WARNING ALERT FOR DETROIT!!!

May we be tenacious summer soldiers! The opportunity we have in the next four months is what we have been contending for over 600 nights. We must not shrink back in serving the Lord to advance his kingdom purposes here on earth. We also carry the duty to preserve our nation which was founded on Biblical principles. We cannot assume that somebody else is doing it for us. Tyranny like hell is not easily conquered but remember the harder the conflict the more glorious the victory. All what we achieve cheaply we will esteem lightly. You cannot place a value on freedom which was close to being taken away from us. Did you notice I said close to be taken away? The “Ecclesia” is responding. The kingdom of darkness and “Ecclesia” are contending for America. We are in a tug-of-war where victory is within our grasp.

CONTEND: It is to strive or vie in contest or rivalry or against difficulties; to believe something is a fact or to deal with a challenge.

An element to achieving our final victory for freedom is tenacity. Carnal tenacity is something we’ve all grown up with. We know within ourselves that when we want something, we can get it if we push ourselves hard enough. However, when it comes to spiritual tenacity, it’s a different story. The Bible tells us not to become lukewarm Christians. People have been found to sway from being hot to cold. One moment, they’re on fire for God. and the next, they are angry with Him and have walked away.

We may not be disciplined in spiritual tenacity simply because the natural man does not understand; it is only the spiritual man that understands. Every one of us in the church has a spiritual man that needs to be activated. Because we put a lid on it, the natural man takes over the spiritual man. The purpose of our nightly calls is to encourage everyone to maintain a high level of spiritual tenacity.

When it comes to the work of God, there is a tenacity. Matthew 11:12 (NIV) tells us, “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.” When we are going through something in our personal life, we tell ourselves things like, “God is love; God is good,” which I totally understand, but there is a time God will ask you and me to rise up, not give up and enter into spiritual warfare.

“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord [a]God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Jude 3-5)

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:12)
