TONIGHT’S CALL – COREY SHANKLETON…STANDING AGAINST ABORTION!!!

I am so thankful that Roe V Wade was overturned. We now shift to Michigan. We are in an intense battle for “Life in the Womb” in our state. It appears there will be a proposal on the ballot in November that is the most radical abortion bill that would become a Constitutional Amendment if voted on to be approved in Michigan. We must carefully assess what is in this proposal. If the church does not rise to defeat this it will be an ultimate travesty,

WHAT MAKES THIS PROPOSAL SO HORRIFIC – A FREEDOM TO KILL BILL?

*Allows the killing of babies even after they are born.

*Takes all parental consent away regarding abortions for underage children.

*Doctor not needed to obtain an approved abortion…taxpayers will pay for abortions.

*Schools will be given authority over children regarding abortion/sterilization/ and abortive drugs – parents will not have access to your child’s records. Allows minor children to obtain sterilization, puberty blockers, sex change surgery without parent’s knowledge or consent.

QUESTIONS?

Will the church rise to meet this challenge?

Will pulpits in MI come aflame to defend Life and stand against moral depravity?

Will Pastors/Ministry leaders inform/mobilize their spheres of influence?

WHAT CAN WE DO?

The MI Heartbeat Coalition and MI4Life Coalition are taking a lead and aggressively making plans to defeat this proposal. We seek unity with all pro-life ministries, individuals, and churches. We must work together “As One” bringing together our talents, resources, and be sacrificial of our time. Janet Porter (Author of National Heartbeat Bill) and Abby Johnson (Unplanned) are totally behind us and supportive of our efforts.

THE PLAN!

1. Billboards – We have boards on I75 and one on I94 already procured up to the election. We have paid for them! We are in a present search for more and ask you to help searching out private conservative Billboard owners.

Example Messaging on Board: We must wait for final approval of the ballot proposal to indicate how to vote to defeat this proposal. We expect to have this in August.

Baby Pictures will be Utilized with a Tagline and how to vote on the proposal!

*Is my Life Important? (Picture of a Beautiful Baby)

NOTE: Other Suggestions are being considered.

2. Yard Signs – Messaging that are on Billboards

3. Handouts/Mailer – Messaging that are on Billboards and Explanation of the proposal.

4. Bumper Stickers – Messaging that are on Billboards.

5. Social Media Presence – The media outreach with the proper messaging will be developed.

6. Christian Radio Interviews – We will attempt to set up informative radio interviews on the proposal to educate the dangers of this proposal.

7. Church/Conference Gatherings to Rally the Church – We desire to host regional gatherings and hope you would host one. We would distribute yard signs, handouts and bumper stickers and give instructions on how to impact our communities to defeat this proposal.
