Tonight’s Call – ELECTION…REFORMATION DAY!

DOES AMERICA NEED MODERN-DAY REFORMATION?

What is “Reformation”? It is the action or process of reforming an institution or practice. It is where religious, political, or societal institutions must be changed for the better. There was a 16-century movement for the reform of abuses in the Roman Catholic Church ending in the establishment of the Reformed and Protestant churches. October 31 was the 500-year anniversary of the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the German church in Wittenberg. This event is widely considered as the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Luther listed objections to various practices of the Catholic Church. This resulted in the creation of a branch of Christianity called Protestantism, a name used collectively to refer to the many religious groups that separated from the Roman Catholic Church due to differences in doctrine. Luther argued that individuals could be saved only by personal faith in Jesus Christ and the grace of God.

Reformation reminds us of how important individual freedom is and that action is required if freedom becomes restricted. And means the reinstatement of proper service to God that is based on Scripture. The Bible stresses that reform comes not only by the prayer and action of remnants who have risen throughout history, but by the grace of God. As we look at the modern-day church, we see that many Biblical foundations have been destroyed. A Biblical worldview is hardly maintained. This has resulted in moral perversion which has gained access into all cultural gateways of society. This has resulted from the lack of the church engaging society at all levels. So, does America and the church need a modern day Reformation? Yes! We see men and women of God rising to the occasion…seeing history hangs in the balance.

We need a deepening of our relationship with God where discipleship of others must rise to the forefront. A “Great Awakening” is being set up by the Lord which I truly believe will bring a modern-day reformation. We are all invited to be part. Stay the course and hold the line!

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

“Therefore, consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.” (Colossians 3:5-10)

It has been very effective and even though it is costly we are on an all-out frontal assault to defeat this in Michigan. We are on the final home stretch as we pray for the election on site at our state capitol in Lansing. Join us at the MI Capitol House of Prayer this coming Wednesday as Janet Porter and Rev. Pat Mahoney will be joining us. It will be a time of prayer, praise, and worship. We are tipping the scales in favor of righteousness to return to Michigan. We will send teams to walk the halls of our state capitol, visit the House and Senate buildings to pray. We will make declarations and decrees. I believe it is essential to visit the Konnech locations as well. This Is our time as we step into the authority and dominion granted to us as we proclaim the name of Jesus over Michigan.

NOTE: We will have refreshments. Our relational fellowship will increase as we come together in one accord! The radical praying remnant is rising. We will stay the course and hold the line.
