A number of people have been asking who I am regarding the various ministry functions I am working in for Michigan. I shy away from titles, but will use a few to help define my present role. In 2000 my vision was written down in accordance to Habakkuk 2:1-4. T
hat main focus of that vision was to connect our state in day and night prayer; impact state government and Islam in Dearborn; win university students to Christ, and to put the Gospel in every home in Michigan among other points. Each aspect is coming to pass because of declaring unity in our diversity, honoring regional leaders, declaring Christ as the head of the church, and a gift to network and connect.
I am the director and facilitator of Transformation Michigan which was birthed in April of 2006. I have a board that I am accountable to. We will connect all of Michigan’s 83 counties in day and night prayer as we see Michigan become the next Herrnhut (Moravian Prayer movement that lasted over 100 years).
I am also the director and overseer of MICHOP (Michigan Capitol House of Prayer). This was birthed on September 1, 2010 as I teamed up with a State Senator and his wife to obtain a facility that will lift up governmental leaders in Michigan in prayer. There are a number of people who have delegated authority to operate this first house of prayer across the street from a state capitol.
I have also been appointed by Rick Joyner as state coordinator for “The Oak Initiative” –. A relationship developed with Rick Joyner over the years thanks to the Rochester Assembly of God. This relationship allowed me to connect with other nationally known leaders. Oak is a national organization where Transformation Michigan and MICHOP are under. The national board of Oak has impeccable credentials and it is an honor to serve them.
Lou Engle and I have become friends over the years as a relationship was birthed when Lou visited Michigan years ago at the Rochester Assembly of God. This past January 2011, Lou contacted me to be his state coordinator to mobilize TheCall coming to Michigan for a national prayer and fasting gathering to take place at a stadium on 11.11.11. We are mobilizing now.
So there it is. Many hats to wear – but prayer is the main focus in each of them. When the streams come together the city will be glad. In our case our state of Michigan will be blessed. It is only because of the tireless and faithful who have come along side of me which makes this all possible. I hope I answered this question of who am I in Him – Jesus Christ. Michigan will be a model to the nation!
“I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
