Tonight’s Call – STABILITY THROUGH SHAKING – COREY SHANKLETON!

God desires that even as this world changes in the systems of man fail, we will remain stable through faith in him. We must first look at ourselves and develop spiritual stability. A primary biblical principle is to care about and serve others. When we look on the interest of others ahead of our own God blesses us with grace to become stable in any shaking. The key is to learn to walk with God every day. The closer we get to Him, the less we will be blown off course by circumstances or our emotions. Circumstances change, our emotions come and go, but God never changes – and neither will our faith if we stay close to Him.

STABILITY: It means you feel satisfied with what you have. You might want more, but you perceive your current situation to be okay, to be workable, to provide you with comfort and satisfaction. It provides fulfillment. We must consider the main areas of our life, work, our relationships, and their current situation. Our lifestyle should be characterized by appropriate and well thought out decisions, consistent behavior, and moderate mood swings. It is a state of being calm and reasonable when any circumstance presses you.

Instability is a result of being double minded and not trusting in the Lord during challenging times. This is why it’s so important to be grounded in the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The Lord is already forewarned us to expect shaking in our personal lives, our situations, what is happening in the world. All things must be shaken to bring forth a righteous order. Is it easy to become unsettled? Of course! This is why we must surround ourselves with those who can encourage and give us wisdom and decisions that need to be made. So, in Jesus name may we be steadfast, strengthened, and of sound mind. We must rein in our thoughts and think on good things (Philippians 4:8) and learn to be optimistic even in the most troubled times. We have indicated numerous times your thought life is key to happiness. Rest assured, God desires to bring stability in any shaking.

Stay the course and hold the line!

“I have set the Lord always before me, because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8)

“And he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge, the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.” (Isaiah 33:6}

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

NAMES OF GOD CHRISTOPHER HUDSON – HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL!

One of the great titles of God is the holy one of Israel. It’s a name that tells us a lot about our maker, and a name worth exploring. The word holy is found 625 times in the New International Version of the Bible. It literally means to cut or to separate. The idea, then, is that holy things are separated from all unclean, impure, simple things. To be holy is to be set apart. It means to be distinct. In calling Himself the holy one, God is letting us know He is unlike other so-called gods; He’s in a class by Himself. Furthermore, the kingdom He is building requires subjects who are set apart and who operate according to standards that are dissimilar from the common standards all around them.

We see God’s expectations and verses like these: You are to be my holy people – Exodus 22:31; Be holy, because I am holy – Leviticus 11:44; 1 Peter 1:16; Make every effort to be holy – Hebrews 12:14.

So how can unholy people like us live up to such commands? The only answer: And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood – Hebrews 13:12. In short, we can only be holy through the death of Christ. We can only be holy in Jesus makes us holy – by His grace and through our faith. Holiness was God’s goal for Israel, and it’s also God’s goal for us. By living in pure, God honoring ways, we distinguish ourselves. We live differently than our neighbors. We are trying to act better than anyone because holiness isn’t a competitive thing. We are trying to be like Jesus because true holiness is an attractive thing. Remember how the least holy people were drawn to Jesus? Are you letting the holy one of Israel make you holy?

QUESTION: In what ways do you struggle to see yourself as holy and to live a holy life?

“This is what the Lord says– your Redeemer, the holy one of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the ways you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)

STATE CAPITOL ROTUNDA PRAYER GATHERING REPORT – 3/23/23

I am so thankful for the “Trojan Horse” radical praying remnant who came to the Lansing Capitol Rotunda (Womb) last Thursday. We had nearly 70 in attendance where we prayed, praised, worshiped, and made declarations unto the Lord. State legislators visited and a number of children came into our meeting with state capitol tours. We moved aside and prayed over this younger generation. It was a special day. We will gather again in the Rotunda on April 27th at 10 AM. What will it take to have pastors, ministry leaders, watchmen, and intercessors to see the importance of going into the belly of the beast???
