Tonight’s Call – PREPARING FOR WAR AND VIOLENCE!
We have indicated numerous times over these past 903 days warnings that should be discerned by way of the Holy Spirit. We rather err on the side of caution. There is an increase in violence coming to this nation in numerous pockets throughout the land. Violence is defined as physical force exerted for the purpose of violating, damaging, or abusing, and sadly violence is a part of everyday life. The biblical age seems to have been quite a brutal time in human history. From warring nations to domestic bloodshed and destructive natural disasters, stories from Scripture exude the violent nature of mankind’s existence on the earth. What about this present day? It’s in our movies and television shows, and we live in a world where power is often established through violence. But for Christians, the way of the world is always trumped by the truth of the Word. So what does the Bible say about violence? First, violence in the mind is just as hurtful as violence by the hands (Leviticus 19:17). When we know someone is in sin, is it more loving to keep it quiet and build up hate and resentment towards them? God says that we should speak frankly, and Jesus tells us that murderous anger can lead the angry man to judgment from God as quickly as a physical blow (Matthew 5:21-22).
What about violence in war? The commandment do not kill literally means do not murder. God has allowed for just wars throughout the history of His people. God’s people have fought as instruments of judgment from a righteous and holy God. This particular verse tells us to submit ourselves to government authorities and that nations have the right to bear the sword against evildoers, both foreign and domestic (Romans 13:1-4).
Is it wise to prepare for any incoming violence? Yes! According to the Word of God those who pursue violence will be ultimately dealt with. God is always testing the righteous, and His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence (Psalm 11:5). The Lord desires peace for all men. In the day we are living in, much violence is being provoked and we need to be prepared. How does one respond if faced with violence upon yourself or your family? This has been debated theologically. We must be led by the Holy Spirit and make the right decision. Violence occurs, we must recognize the difference between holy judgment on sin in our own personal vendettas against those we dislike, which is the inevitable outcome of pride (Psalm 73:6). Prayer and patience beats violence and anger on any day.
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil and blessing, because to this you are called so that you may inherit a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9)
“Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways.” (Proverbs 3:31)
“Praise be to the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.” (Psalm 144:1)

DAILY DECLARATION WE SHOULD BE MAKING:
“I am bought by the covenantal Blood of Jesus, and I cannot be cursed. Therefore, I take authority over every demonic assignment against myself, my family, my ministry, my business or my God-ordained leadership role. I break every assignment of Athaliah, and every type of spirit that goes along with it – the affliction, the constriction, the compression; and I decree right now, in Jesus’ name, that Jesus is my true King, and I will serve Him only. I declare I am in covenant with God and I’m going to be the intercessor, the reformer, and the watchman-warrior that He has called me to be. I receive fresh fire from Heaven so that I can complete my assignments and fulfill my destiny, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

NAMES OF GOD CHRISTOPHER HUDSON BA’AL… HUSBAND!
To help us understand the character of God, the writers of the Bible relied on objects and images of everyday life. Most of us have seen, for example, a big boulder. We also know firsthand what a dad is, so we can draw on those experiences when Scripture likens God to a rock or calls Him our Father. And when Isaiah spoke to the people of Israel about the betrayal of God (Isaiah 54), He called God Israel’s husband, speaking to the exclusive intimacy God wants with His covenant people. Though Scripture reveals the negative connection of the word ba’al with a Canaanite pagan God, the Hebrew word ba’al means Lord, Master, or husband. God as a husband? Most men don’t exactly relish the thought of being likened to a bride. And women with negative marital experiences might recoil at this metaphor. But as demonstrated in His relationship with Israel, God wants to be like a husband to those He loves.
To truly appreciate the image, we must look beyond a world full of imperfect human spouses and remember that our God is perfect. In vision for a moment what a perfect husband would look like: E would be sacrificial, servant minded, supportive, affirming, patient, empowering, forgiving, trustworthy, reliable, faithful, thoughtful, passionate, compassionate, and protective. A perfect husband wants to spend time with his bride and wants to know her. He is interested in her growth, in her success. He takes interest in his wife’s talents and gifts and is never too tired or too busy to talk. He wants to take care of his wife, to keep her safe. He cherishes her and wants to help her become her best self.
Now let’s take it one step further and envision a perfect marriage. Such a merit gives its participants incredible joy, purpose, peace, and fulfillment. And the union is about far more than just a husband and wife. This love is an ideal marriage spilling out and blesses all those around it. The love in such a marriage changes the world, it changes eternity. Good news! The gospel says that if you trust in Christ, you are along with other believers, the bride of Christ and you are destined for the wedding celebration of the ages (Revelation 19:7-9).
QUESTION: What do you see when you imagine God as the perfect husband?
” For your maker is your husband, the Lord Almighty is His name, the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.” (Isaiah 54:5)
