Does the church have a conscience and willingness to stand for truth in our cultural gateways? We see what took place in Nazi Germany. Fear and a seared conscience ruled the day. The church allowed a government to rule in wickedness. The line of right and wrong was blurred. How does this happen to a culture where we are dealing with lying, moral perversions such as transgenderism, gay marriage and election fraud. We must have voices to speak up against anything that opposes a Biblical Worldview.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.” (1 Timothy 4:2) What does it mean for a person to have a seared conscience? The picture given by the apostle Paul is one in which a person’s conscience or convictions have been desensitized. Through repeated exposure to evil (social media, entertainment, Hollywood, fake news ), a person’s sense of right and wrong can become numb to the point that a person can no longer easily distinguish between good and evil.
The conscience is the God-given moral consciousness within each of us ( Romans 2:15 ). If the conscience is “seared”—literally “cauterized”—then it has been rendered insensitive. Such a conscience does not work properly; it’s as if “spiritual scar tissue” has dulled the sense of right and wrong. Just as the hide of an animal scarred with a branding iron becomes numb to further pain, so the heart of an individual with a seared conscience is desensitized to moral pangs.
Isaiah condemned his readers for this type of spiritual insensitivity, saying, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). In Isaiah’s case, this way of life would result in judgment to God’s people (Isaiah 5:26-30).
Many in our culture today who call themselves Christians or are at least associated with Christianity will leave it. Instead, they will be devoted to demonic and deceitful teachings that will come through insincere liars with a warped sense of morality. A veil is put over the eyes of people where compromise of basic truths in the Word of God are denied. This leads to individuals not believing the Bible is true. A negation of any faith once held takes over. Then society catapults into such a oral decay all is lost.
When we draw near to God, He draws near to us (James 4:8). Activities that move us away from God or desensitize our heart toward God should be removed. We must continue to pray and stand for truth at all cost to our reputation. Never forget as America hangs in the balance. We see small and large groups, parents who are concerned and individuals who are making a stand.
Multitudes in heaven are cheering us on in this last day battle. Be encouraged and never give up. Victory is close now!!!

Topay it forward simply means to repay a kindness received with a good deed to someone else. How many have witnessed the gospel and prayed for each of us to be saved? If someone does something kind for you, and you ask how you can thank them or return their kindness, they might sometimes tell you to ‘pay it forward’. This means they don’t expect you to do anything for them in return, but they are suggesting you pass on the kindness by doing something kind for someone else instead.

POINT TO PONDER: Younger Americans are more likely to dissociate from organized religion, according to a recent Pew Research study on religious “nones.” Out of 28% of American adults who identify as “atheist,” “agnostic,” or “nothing in particular,” 29% are aged 18-29 (Generation Z is ages 11-26), while 40% are aged 30-49. Despite their professed dissociation, these individuals are not necessarily hardened against the message of the gospel. “We have tremendous opportunity right now,” urged podcaster Kyle Campbell on “Washington Watch,” “particularly in the church.”
“These ‘nones’ — it looks like a big number, but only 17% identify as atheists, 20% as agnostic, and 63% nothing in particular,” noted Family Research Council President Tony Perkins. “It’s not that they don’t believe in God, they’re just not connected to a religious denomination or affiliation.”
Fully 69% of ‘nones’ say they believe in the God of the Bible or some other higher power, but only 3% “go to religious services at least monthly,” and a plurality (43%) says religion does more harm than good. These numbers don’t show “a rejection of God,” Perkins interpreted, but rather a rejection of “organized religion, that in many ways has become milquetoast and has abandoned truth. ‘So,’ [think the ‘nones’], ‘why bother?’”
An exploding number of young Americans are drifting through life without any theological mooring. Many of them were raised in church, but yet they remain largely ignorant of the Bible and its teaching. They appear unaware of the exclusive claims of Christianity that demands either total acceptance or rejection, not a pick-and-choose buffet of nice moral teachings.
“It’s a generation who doesn’t necessarily want to reject spirituality or God or religion or Christianity,” Campbell posited. “They’re just saying, ‘We want more information. We’re seeking, you know, give us the truth. We want to find the right place to land.’ But they don’t have that yet.”
