DAY 1398 SEPTEMBER 2 – MOVED BY GOD!
SEASON OF INCREASED PRAYER!
As we now approach September, October and November of this year let us place a new importance on…PRAYER! This season will determine the future of our nation. If the praying remnant ecclesis does not rally all will be lost. I believe the church is rising up to face the task! America will be saved! During times when great adversity is released across the earth, men and women of great faith will arise. They are known as the radical remnant. This praying remnant recognizes that the judgments of God are coming upon the earth. They understand if our love for God is not growing stronger – it will grow cold. They see if we do not stay close to Him we will lose the life that is in us and our hearts will grow dark. The time is now upon us where we must hear and know God’s voice. If we do not – deception will overtake us. The secret place (prayer closet) is the realm where you are able to abide in His presence, see the glory of God manifest, and walk in full confidence of His love for us. You will be given wisdom and understanding in this preparation place for the last great battle.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2)
Will you answer the call and take your place? Come into the secret place of God. What are you waiting for? Come! Come! Come! Answer the call and fulfill your calling and destiny!
WHY DON’T WE PRAY MORE? – Randy Hekman
Do you agree that prayer–communicating with our all-mighty, all-loving, all-knowing God–is one of the greatest privileges we have as Christ-followers? If so, then why do we spend much more time per day on our silly iPhones, iPads and computers interacting with social media than we do in prayer? I think English preacher and author Samuel Chadwick nailed it when he said this: “The one concern of the Devil is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayer-less studies, prayer-less work, prayer-less religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.”
POINT TO PONDER – AVERAGE AMOUNT OF PRAYER PER DAY: Japanese pastors…44 minutes/day; Chinese pastors…120 minutes/day; Korean Pastor Cho…3-5 hours/day; Early church estimated… 2 hours/day; American pastors 22 minutes/day; ME??? YOU???
Prayer is not easy to maintain but a discipline we need to develop. I (Randy Hekman) once asked David Butts, former head of the National Prayer Committee (now graduated to glory) how he would define prayer. He said, “Prayer is the communication part of the most important love relationship that we have.” Wow! That is profound!
God help us to express our love to our Lord and listen to His expressions of love to us more and more every day!
“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” (Luke 5:16) “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” (Luke 6:12)

CHRISTIAN TRUTH – True Christianity, as set forth in the Bible, is a credible faith and not one based on emotions, superstitions, or groundless belief. Christianity is founded on truth that can be tested and is for the thinking person. God does not ask us to check our brains at the church door. Followers of other religions can quote their texts and give glowing testimonies of how their religions make them feel, but their beliefs are based on feelings, rather than historical facts. It is quite possible to be devoted and sincere about a religious belief, while whole-heartedly believing a lie. How can a person know that what they believe is actually true? Although some beliefs can bring comfort, will they ultimately help or harm us if they are false? Christianity alone is based on verifiable historical truth. The Bible states in Romans 1:20 that no one has any excuse for disbelief in the one true God, because God clearly makes Himself known to everyone through what He has made (His creation). This can be verified through the study of creation using the tool of science. God also makes Himself known through His Word, the Bible. He challenges us to examine and test it. Each person is responsible to investigate the Bible’s claims of authenticity. Our eternal destiny depends upon it.
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)
