EVILMUST BE EXPOSED

To expose evil is to bring to light those things that are wrong, untrue, and harmful to our spiritual health and to our community. Throughout the Bible, we see numerous passages encouraging us to stand firm against wickedness and to shed light where darkness prevails. This does not mean we merely identify evil—it involves taking an active role in combating it through love, truth, and God’s Word. Together, let us reflect on these teachings and meditate on how we can expose the evils in our lives and the world around us, shining God’s light into the darkest corners. Be in the mode of meditation as we read through God’s word.

In our Christian journey, we are often reminded of the importance of living in the light. The concept of exposing evil can be interpreted as choosing to walk in the truth of Jesus, enabling us to distinguish between right and wrong. As we embrace this light-hearted approach, we find strength through transparency and authenticity within our relationships and communities. Ephesians 5:8 tells us that we are children of light, illuminating the way for others through our actions and words. When we embrace this identity, we are better equipped to expose the darkness lurking around us.

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” – Ephesians 5:8

“The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

“For you are all children of light, children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:5

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14

The Power of Truth

Truth has an incredible power to expose evil. The Bible consistently reminds us of the importance of seeking and living in the truth. Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” indicating just how significant truth is in our relationship with Him and our pursuit of righteousness. When we embrace truth, we expose lies and deception that can often lead us astray. By holding one another accountable and speaking the truth in love, we can help each other navigate the journey of faith and shine the light on areas where evil may be lurking.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32

Upholding Justice

In exposing evil, we are called to uphold justice and righteousness. Many passages in the Bible highlight the necessity of being advocates for the marginalized and voiceless. When we stand up for what is right and refuse to allow injustice to flourish, we are actively participating in exposing the evil that surrounds us. God has a profound concern for justice, and as followers of Christ, we must reflect that same concern in our lives by promoting fairness and truth wherever we go.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8

“When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” – Proverbs 21:15

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” – Proverbs 31:8-9

Guarding Our Hearts

As we navigate this challenge of exposing evil, we must do so while guarding our own hearts. It can be all too easy to become overwhelmed by the darkness we see around us, leading us away from the light of Christ. By protecting our hearts and minds with prayer and Scripture, we can remain focused and unyielding in our pursuit of truth and justice. We are reminded in Proverbs 4:23 to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from them. This means we must be intentional in ensuring that our hearts remain aligned with God’s will in our desire to expose evil.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23

Community Accountability

Another vital aspect of exposing evil is our responsibility within our community. The Bible emphasizes the significance of fellowship and accountability among believers. As we gather together, we can encourage one another to walk in righteousness and light. This sense of community provides a safe haven for us to discuss our struggles and to work together to reveal and combat evil. When we encourage honest conversations, we strengthen our bonds and help each other remain aligned with God’s purpose.

“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” – Galatians 6:1

Rejecting Corruption

In our pursuit of exposing evil, we are called to reject corruption and deceit. The Bible consistently warns us against the temptations that lead us astray and encourages us to pursue purity. When we hold a clear and unwavering stance against corruption, we can effectively highlight the stark contrast between goodness and evil. As we do this, we not only protect ourselves but also encourage others to turn away from darkness and embrace the truth.

“I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.” – Psalms 101:3

Prayerful Discernment

Finally, as we seek to expose evil, we must cultivate a spirit of prayerful discernment. The Bible encourages us to trust in the Lord and seek His wisdom in all matters. Through prayer, we can uncover the truth behind the illusions of evil and confusion. We are equipped to make sound decisions and discern right from wrong, ultimately revealing the darkness that seeks to cloud our vision. It is through prayer that we strengthen our relationship with God and lay the foundation for a life that boldly exposes the evil around us.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5

We will produce approximately a 80 page, four-color, high-gloss, 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 booklet that can be used by churches, university campuses, and individuals to promote the pro-life cause. Presently, Michigan is a death state. We can turn this around and turn Michigan into a pro-life state where it can be called pure again. The killing of the unborn is foundational to all of our state and national problems. We need to provide knowledgeable tools to be utilized to promote the life message. We will do an initial printing of 15,000 copies. We will not charge for them but give them out freely to churches, ministries, young people, and individuals across our state. We want to impact our young people especially, youth leaders in High School and universities. Of course, the body of Christ must take the lead in churches. Congregations must be activated to share with their sphere of influence. We declare it is a new day in the Pro-Life movement in Michigan! Who will rise up and defend the unborn?

HELP ALERT

I was told by the Cocke County TN Relief Group that there are approximately 250 families in need of assistance, and they asked if I could send out another volunteer request. There are churches which are making their lower levels and kitchens available to volunteers and my daughter Jenny, Cheryl and I can accommodate 1-4 people. We have a group scheduled to come down in September and I have already spoken with two different families that need help and made them the focus of the September effort. Skill sets are much appreciated, but there is so much that needs to be done every kind of assistance is needed. The most important qualifications are willing hands and hearts! Please pray about coming down to help or if you know of others who might be able to come, let them know about the need. Thank you so much for the 12 teams of volunteers that have come down and all the financial donations.
