NOVEMBER 6 DAY 1828 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS OF PRAYER!

In contrast, this past year, the average woman in America gave birth to only 1.6 children, far below the number needed to have “Zero Population Growth.” We are gradually, but tragically heading to a very bad place!

RANDY HEKMAN…GRAND AWAKENING: Those of us who were alive in the 1960s will remember how we were told repeatedly that the world was becoming overpopulated and how we would soon run out of resources to keep us all alive. Some people still believe this is an accurate picture of our world.

But, let’s just look at the actual facts: It takes 2.1 babies per female merely to break even. We have been below that number in America since 1975! As a result, the median age of Americans–the average age of our population–has now risen to 39.1, and has never been higher! Contrast that to 1970 when the median age was 28.4.

Folks are increasingly concerned that Social Security and Medicare are heading toward bankruptcy as we have too few people working to pay for the care of the growing numbers of elderly folks.

The Communist Chinese government woke up to their demographic reality a few years ago. Previously, fearing overpopulation, they ordered folks to have just one child per family. But now they understand how that regulation had them heading in a very dangerous direction. So now they are asking every family to have three kids! But, of course, it’s not working! After all, who wants to expend the time and resources to raise yet another child? “Let someone else shoulder the load!”

And it’s not just in the U.S. and China where folks are having fewer children; it’s a worldwide phenomenon! The net result is that demographers estimate the world population will begin to decline in about 30 years with no realistic way to turn it around! This will be devastating, especially to us older people who undoubtedly will be asked to quit “stealing” resources away from younger folks. In effect, we will be told, “Do us all a favor and leave the scene . . . die!”

We Christ-followers need to listen more to our Lord than to the voices of our secular world. He loves children! They are made in His image and have the potential to impact our world for eternity! As someone has said, “children are missionaries we ultimately send to a time and a place we ourselves can never go.” Expensive? Yes! And lots of work and pain? Yes!

How about the birth rate for us Christ-followers? Isn’t Jesus supposed to be Lord of every area of our lives? And shouldn’t that include how many children we will allow Him to create in and through us for His glory? It certainly should! But does it?

“Wait a minute! How about my career! And how about our plans as a family to be start a business, to buy that boat or cottage or airplane, or take that cruise, etc.?”

We Christ-followers need to listen more to our Lord than to the voices of our secular world. Friends, unless we have a major worldwide revival that impacts hearts deeply, we humans are heading to a very bad place spiritually, and in many other ways as well.

But why should we Christ-followers not do our part to reverse this anti-child trend regardless of what the non-Christians choose to do? I encourage you to pray, and then courageously obey in every area as He leads. All for His glory, and for your ultimate, forever joy!

This is a statewide initiative to vav each county in the state and align it to God. Michigan Apostolic Prophetic Coalition, Call to the Wall and West MI Prayer Center have teamed up for this assignment. Anita Christopher is the point person.

Listen to Dutch Sheets’ message at the Head of the Year (hosted by Glory of Zion and Chuck Pierce). A national assignment was issued, and Michigan received it. Watch the video and receive the instructions.
