Have you ever peeled an onion? Onions have layers and the deeper you go your eyes begin to water. We continually talk about the exposure of the evil that is manifesting in our nation. It should bring us to tears and cause great alarm to rise within us. God is allowing this to happen so we can be used to respond to be part of the solution. Christianity will survive without America, but this nation will not survive without Christianity. An assault on our Christian freedoms is well underway and we are each being called to be a voice. God is giving out assignments/appointments to us at this time. Are you willing to take on that assignment or appointment that he wants to impart to you?
An assignment is the process of giving someone a particular job, task, or responsibility. Mario Murillo had recently stated: “Your assignment in the Army of God is your individual expression and extension of Christ’s destruction of the works of the devil. You are a destroyer of the works of the devil. God will give you a way to do it that is unique to you.
Until that gets through to you—until you admit and agree to those terms—God will remain silent about your assignment. Because the situation today in America is an impossible one, only one kind of person will make a difference now. They must be armed with divine certainty. They must own an unshakable, bone-deep conviction that they have been chosen for this task.”
From his death bed, John Wesley wrote his last letter to William Wilberforce to encourage him as he fought in Parliament to abolish slavery in England. In this letter, Wesley confirms the urgency of divine certainty: “Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils. But if God be for you, who can be against you? Are all of them together stronger than God? O be not weary of well doing!
A new breed of Christian is rising today that God is preparing. God is not discriminating because of your age. Many times, we think going into ministry is the answer, but the reality is moving in God’s purposes wherever your station of life is presently is where he wants you to be. Are you a husband or a wife; a mother or father; a grandparent; working in the field of business; laboring in employment; involved in a particular cultural gateway like the government? We have a collision of worldviews so refine your Biblical worldview in being part of the solution to carrying out a specific assignment God has given you. God desires for you to partner with him!
“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1: 10-11)
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” (John 15:16)
“And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.” (1 Corinthians 1: 28-29)
