May 11 – Day 187 Prayer Call 9 PM EST – Transformation Michigan – Uniting Michigan in Prayer 83 Counties 24/7

I want to address a topic which I will call going through the storm. We need to be prepared and better understand the storm we are presently witnessing. It has affected all of us in different ways who have been part of our call since November 4. The spiritual battle we are in presently is a storm that is going to continue for quite some time. But be assured the Lord will not let us down if we continue to press in.

Point to Ponder: “As in the movie The Perfect Storm, the storm I see coming to the United States is a combination of more than one element, and when the elements unite, the storm becomes exponentially more dangerous. However, unlike the movie, this storm is not just a storm of merging weather patterns. This storm is worse; it involves 5 different elements: religion, politics, economics, war, and geo-physical events. Massive problems in these five areas will come often, or in combination, and sometimes repeatedly. Each element has potentially several events that will have national and international ripple effects. Some ripples will be worse than others, depending on where you live and how you make your living. Different areas of the United States will experience different severities. Some will experience more economic elements, others more geo-physical elements; some will experience all elements. Remember, it is the combination and the rapidity that will make the storm problematic.” – John Paul Jackson

We are experiencing all the elements above. God will take us through the storm! The end result will be a great rejoicing. At times you may feel you are in a dark tunnel but at the end there is light. Our nation is at a fork in the road. You must ask yourself; will you cave in fear? Will you allow yourself to go into a state of self-denial? As the election chaos goes deeper and wider it is understandable where anxiety, dread, and emotional upsets increase. As I write this opening for the newsletter, I encourage you to prepare spiritually first and then physically. Is it wise to pray more, read the word of God, rest in him, seek his face in your prayer closet, and praise and worship him? The physical preparation side is up to each individual family. Should we have an extra supply of food, water, basic hygiene needs, and other essentials. Yes, as our motive of heart should not be one of selfishness but preparedness to help others. We will address these areas in the future in more detail!

“And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” (Matthew 8:23-27)

SPECIAL REQUEST FOR COREY SHANKLETON: Corey Shankleton is one of the main originators of this call where we feel will go to 300 days. His wife’s due date for the baby is May 8. The size of this family has grown to a point where they need a vehicle such as a small van or a church van. He is in full-time ministry and of course working side jobs.
