God has raised up a great army who is speaking out in great boldness. Men and women of conviction are rising who are standing against all odds, and some are facing challenging circumstances. Remember Ezekiel’s “valley of dry bones”? Not until they were “very dry” were they ready to be turned into the “exceedingly great army” they were called to be. It was in the driest, darkest times that the greatest moves of God came…and we are in such a day!
BOLDNESS: not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring: a bold hero. not hesitating to break the rules of propriety; forward; impudent: He apologized for being so bold as to speak to the emperor. necessitating courage and daring; challenging: a bold adventure.
What is a characteristic of boldness? It is having a deep conviction in something where you are even willing to lay your life down. Dietrich Boenhoffer was such a person in WW 2. On April 9, 1945, Lutheran pastor and theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer was hanged at Flossenburg, only days before the American liberation of the POW camp. The last words of the brilliant and courageous 39-year-old opponent of Nazism were “This is the end—for me, the beginning of life.”
CONVICTION: a firmly strong belief or opinion: the state of mind of a person who is sure that what he or she believes or says is true.
People who carry conviction will stand with a boldness in prayer and action that will be part of a select group of “History Makers”. The cause they have taken up can shape history!

This week as we head towards Halloween is critical as we pray in the night. Michigan will be partnering with other battleground states who are taking a night each week. We have been asked to take what is normally known as “Devil’s Night” on October 30. We will cover that night with the blood of the Lamb in intercessory prayer for our respective states and nation.
