Why would there ever be an attempt to eliminate past history from our culture? It has been said if you do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. America is in such a time as many of you very well know where our educational system has failed to bring up a foundational history of our nation. The last generation and the current one has experienced a great erosion of how America came to be. We have said if foundations are destroyed what can the righteous do. Our nation’s Christian history is being eliminated for a designed purpose as well. The Communist/Marxist leader Lenin is quoted as saying “Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.” So, this is what our nation faces today as we see our history being altered and erased. We see WOKENESS, Critical Race Theory, elimination of our Constitution and rights it provides; personal religious freedoms being eroded; and parental rights being diminished.

WHY STUDY HISTORY?

Studying history enables us to develop a better understanding of the world in which we live. Building knowledge and understanding of historical events and trends, especially over the past century, enables us to develop a much greater appreciation for current events today. Through history, we can learn how past societies, systems, ideologies, governments, cultures and technologies were built, how they operated, and how they have changed. The rich history of the world helps us to paint a detailed picture of where we stand today. Studying history allows us to observe and understand how people and societies behaved. For example, we are able to evaluate war, even when a nation is at peace, by looking back at previous events. History provides us with the data that is used to create laws, or theories about various aspects of society.

Is it too late? I remain optimistic, if we continue to pray and take action at local levels as we appeal to heaven for God to intervene into our affairs. We see individuals who I call remnant history makers who are rising up in the areas where they live or occupy. We must continue to take the offensive because the cost will be too great if we do not. Seek the Lord and ask what can I do as a parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle to reeducate this current generation.

HIS – STORY: May we never forget that all history is based on “His story” which refers to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Because history is the vehicle for God’s work in the world, we should expect to learn from it. Much of the Bible is history. History defines and touches our lives. History allows us to temporarily step outside of our own culture to evaluate it in light of another.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3)
