TONIGHT’S CALL – COREY SHANKLETON…EARTH’S WISDOM/HEAVENS RESPONSIBILITY!

WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING is so much needed today as we navigate the daily challenges that are before us. We are making decisions that impact us personally and our family. We need wisdom to discern the times to properly be positioned to be readily prepared to meet any challenge we may face. What is wisdom?

WISDOM: The ability to discern inner qualities and relationships; having deep insights; good sense; and judgment.

There are 3 kinds of Wisdom…Godly, Earthly and Satanic. We see America being destroyed within from Satanic and Earthly wisdom. Having knowledge is not enough of what is taking place in our nation. What is the difference between knowledge and wisdom? The primary difference between the two words is that wisdom involves a healthy dose of perspective and the ability to make sound judgments about a subject while knowledge is simply knowing. Anyone can become knowledgeable about a subject by reading, researching, and memorizing facts. We need wisdom now as we all have head knowledge of what we are presently facing!

Having wisdom is important to God. Walking in wisdom helps us to make the right choices for our lives and protects us (Proverbs 2:11-16; 29:8). It equips us to handle difficult situations and relationships. Wisdom helps you work smarter, not harder (Ecclesiastes 10:10). Those who have God’s wisdom will show it in the way that they live.

We must ask God for wisdom first and foremost and apply these action steps: think before you speak; realize there is never a right time as there will a conflicting opinion(s); balance self-interest with the mindset of caring for others and accepting others for who they are; put things in perspective before you jump to conclusions; don’t blindly accept the status quo of circulating opinion (fake news); don’t let other people’s negativity upset you as emotions can fuel wrong decision making; and be an optimist.

Understanding must follow the wisdom we carry. Understanding in this context follows intelligence, knowledge, experience, wisdom, and promptings from the Holy Ghost—all of which lead us to knowing and doing what is right.

UNDERSTANDING: To understand something is to be thoroughly familiar with it, or to clearly apprehend its character, nature, or subtleties. It is having a mental grasp and comprehension of what is before us.

Our understanding must come from the Lord and promptings of the Holy Spirit. We must not lean on our own mental capacities but trust in God. The Holy Spirit was given to teach, lead and guide us in all truth. He will give us the words to speak in any situation if we have ears to hear. Wisdom and understanding are the principal things we need to be carrying. We have a Divine supply if we ask for it. Your sphere of influence needs you!

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

“Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. and in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4: 6-7)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3: 5-6)
