TONIGHT’S CALL – RICK WARZYWAK…WOKEISM IN THE CHURCH!!!

We must always be aware of any threat that comes upon the church. One such threat is WOKEISM. Wokeism is the behavior and attitudes of people who are sensitive to social and political injustice. Wokeism is a Marxist inspired movement that started off with well-intentioned people that wanted to stop racism and social injustice. The body of Christ needs to take a firm stance against what has become a left-wing agenda in the name of Jesus Christ.

The word “woke” has moved from its rhetorical roots in the Black community to become weaponized today to pass legislation undoing much of the social justice progress benefiting marginalized populations. Words like woke and associated imagery – including “CRT” – become catalysts to carry out culture war policies harming and alienating people from full participation in democratic society. It has invaded our schools indoctrinating our young people to hate and cause destructive division. It has also invaded many of our churches where many have bought into a political correctness ideology.

We need pastors who have a backbone to educate its congregants on the evil that wokeism has evolved into. It is counter to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Of course, we must stand against any injustice but never something that evokes hatred.

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 2:8)

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)

“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” (Psalm 94:16)
