Courage with conviction in the heat of any battle is necessary to achieve victory. God has raised up people today to run into the battle no matter the consequences. Courage must be accompanied by faith that the cause is worth dying for. What is courage?

COURAGE: It is a mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. It is also the quality of being ready and willing to face negative situations involving danger or pain. A close synonym is bravery. Showing courage is often thought of as facing such situations without fear, but it also involves facing them despite fear.

What are 6 Types of Courage?

1. Physical courage…Feeling fear yet choosing to act no matter what the opposition may bring.
2. Emotional courage…Following our heart which is related to hearing from God and connected to conviction of purpose.
3. Intellectual courage…Expanding our horizons, letting go of the familiar realizing thinking out of the box will achieve victory.
4. Social courage…To be yourself in the face of adversity understanding you have been called for a particular season of time.
5. Moral courage…Standing up for what is right no matter what obstacles you may face.
6. Spiritual courage… A human’s inner strength and determination–is powered by one’s sense of Survival/Self-Preservation.

The praying church will always give an advantage to those who are willing to stand. We could say intercession provides “air support” from demonic entities that will attempt to subvert good and bring forth evil. Fear will always be a tactic that will always be used to intimidate one to inaction. Fear is a natural response to challenges or the unknown. It’s an emotion that serves a valuable purpose (think fight or flight response), but it can quickly become unhealthy when it paralyzes us or propels us into frantic behavior. Negative outcomes aside, the Bible actually commands us to not be afraid. In fact, there are over 300 variations of the command to “fear not” throughout Scripture.

How to be courageous: 9 ways to become fearless!

Acknowledge your fear. Never try to sweep your fear under the rug. Seek the Lord for internal strength.
Confront it by realizing this is normal when called to run into a battle of any sort.
Use positive self-talk as the Word says what we speak is life or death. Our thought cycles must be reined in.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. There will be an underlying tension that can be alleviated by the peace of God.
Make being brave a habit. The more you engage a challenge it will become second nature.
Practice mindfulness and ask the Lord to order and direct your steps.
Find a mentor. Experienced ones who have been in battles should be sought out for wisdom and understanding.
Embrace failure as this negative can be a positive when you learn the root of that failure.

So may we say…“Choose me Lord” and give me the wherewithal to make a difference. Remnants who hold the line and stay the course always shift history.
