TONIGHT’S CALL – RICK WARZYWAK MAY WE BE COURAGEOUS/ PRAYING INTO PROPHETIC WORDS FOR THE TIMES WE ARE IN!!!

Who are the brave hearts today? Courage is needed if we are to defeat the evil that has encompassed our nation. Is there a price to pay? Yes! We must stand up and be a voice in the various areas where God has called us to. The church is being called forth to be courageous. We must challenge all church leadership to stand up against iniquitous assaults upon our personal and religious freedoms, attack on God’s Word and Biblical principles.

COURAGE: The ability to do something that frightens one; a strength in the face of pain or grief.

Courage is the quality of being ready and willing to face negative situations involving danger or pain. A close synonym is bravery. Showing courage is often thought of as facing such situations without fear, but it also involves facing them despite fear. Some common synonyms of courage are mettle, resolution, spirit, and tenacity. While all these words mean “mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or hardship,” courage implies firmness of mind and will in the face of danger or extreme difficulty. Courage is more of an emotional thing that rises up within when injustices are made evident. Confidence accompanies courage as we intellectually study what the injustices are.

WHAT ARE SOME ELEMENTS OF COURAGE?

1. Self-confidence: Courageous people believe in themselves and understand what they are fighting for.

2. Conviction: You always know where courageous people stand. …

3. Integrity. Courageous people know the difference between right and wrong. …

4. Leadership: We all have been given a sphere of influence which needs to be identified to lead.

5. Compassion: Never forget we are in a spiritual war and winning souls for the kingdom is of utmost importance… Love our enemies!

6. Objectivity: We must not allow personal biases to cloud important decisions. May we have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth on every matter.

7. Strength in Adversity: Courage gives you the power to chase after things that are important to you. It also bolsters your self-confidence and allows you to believe in your abilities. Likewise, it’s important that you realize that courage is not the absence of fear.

HOW DOES ONE BECOME COURAGEOUS?

1. Acknowledge your fear. Never try to sweep your fear under the rug.

2. Confront it by seeking the Lord.

3. Use positive self-talk. Remember there is life and death in the tongue.

4. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

5. Make being brave a habit. For the waters to part, you must put your foot in.

6. Practice mindfulness and count the cost as you evaluate decisions.

7. Find a mentor or people of like mindedness who will embrace your cause.

8. Embrace failure as we learn from our mistakes.

We are in a time where courage must be fully displayed in each of us. May we face difficulties and life’s challenges head on. We must challenge the status quo and not be afraid to go against the grain or speak up for yourself or someone else. Stand up for your convictions, moral values, and beliefs.

Stay the course and hold the line!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)
