Tonight’s Call – DAY OF POWER WITH COREY SHANKLETON/PASTOR PETE DRESSER!

The power of God is demonstrated by His ability to accomplish His will in every situation, both real and potential, through any means He chooses to glorify Himself. God’s power is centered on His will and his glory. We just need to know where to look. We serve a God of transformative power. How does this power come to us? Power comes from God and is exercised through our weakness. The world around us needs followers of Jesus are humbly empowered by and through the love of God. It is our job to influence those around us with His power, for the good of the world we live in and for all eternity. God is omnipotent and one who has unlimited power.

God’s power, the sort of power that dwells within every born-again believer and energizes our lives and ministry is not the sort of thing that you can touch or contained in a bottle. It is the very energy of the life of God Himself. It is a supernatural energy that emanates from God’s being that is available to every believer. For Christians, God’s power doesn’t just pacify our pain. When we access God’s power, it so invades our life that is satisfies our soul and changes our ability to walk through the pain. We no longer need to just get over it, but now we can advance through it. God allows various struggles in life so we can draw closer to Him and access the power available to us as adopted sons and daughters. God works through our weaknesses so His power can be displayed. The apostle Paul learned to be content in all situations. He knew that God was able to give him strength when that strength ran out.

We have been given a resident power, by faith, to govern and control all things, both temporal and spiritual; to work miracles and perfect lives, to stand in the presence of God and be like Him because we have gained His faith, His perfections, and His power, or in other words the fullness of His priesthood. Seek the truth in Scripture and confess unbelief. Spent time with the Lord as He is bigger than all our circumstances and remember to give thanks for all things. Wait on the Lord and be led the Holy Spirit and you will experience the power of God working in your life. No matter how weak you may think you are realize the strongest people get tired. The word says they will walk and not become weary (Isaiah 40:29-31).

“Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” (Ephesians 6:10)

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

“Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” (Ephesians 3:20)

NAMES OF GOD SERIES – CHRISTOPHER HUDSON MIGDAL OZ… STRONG TOWER !

In ancient times, many cities had a skyline that consisted of a single, centralized fortress. When enemies invaded, the area residents would flee to the stronghold (usually a high tower) and take refuge. Often the structures are constructed with small doorways leading to staircases that twisted upward and got tinier the higher one went. Ireland still has a few of these tall, round towers and some of its coastal cities. From within, the men of the city could shoot arrows down at her attackers or porn boiling oil on them. The women and children would climb even higher to fortified safe rooms for better refuge and security. When the danger passed or help arrived, the people would come out of hiding.

In Psalm 61, David calls God his strong tower. This word picture brings to mind a righteous person who stays above the fray and remain secure from peril because he or she has run to the Lord. David’s point, of course, is that the Lord is the ultimate safe place. Consider the promises of God that echoed the same idea.

*The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it in our safe (Proverbs 18:10).

*Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Joel 2:32).

*The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. (2 Samuel 22:2).

*You are my strength, I want for you; you, God, are my fortress (Psalm 59:9). I have become assigned to many; you are my strong refuge. (Psalm 71:7).

Whatever unnerving or frightening situations you face today, the good news is that God is a strong tower. His heart and part are to protect. Your part is simply to run to Him and hide in Him. Remember, the strongest, highest tower in the world is of no use to us unless and until we run into it.

QUESTION: How would you introduce the concept and benefits of God as our “strong tower” to a friend in need?

“For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.” (Psalm 61:3)

This will be a gathering of reformers in God’s longing to change Michigan on Saturday, January 7 from 1 PM to 9 PM. We are asking all activists, citizens and believers, leaders, and pastors who desire change in the social, educational, economic, and governmental order of Michigan to attend. It will be a time to be infused with power and authority from Jesus Christ. We must have something more than human grit and political strategies. It is through worship, preaching and teaching, challenging testimonies, and gifts and outpourings of the Holy Spirit where we will see victory.

2. STRATEGY GATHERING JANUARY 6TH AT MICHOP – 12 NOON – 322 WEST OTTAWA – LANSING, MI

We need to hear the voice of the Lord as we go into this year of 2023. We must have God’s strategies and not men. The only way to attain this is through unadulterated prayer, praise, and worship. We are calling for pastors, ministry leaders, intercessors or any who has a heart to pray to join us this day in Lansing.

Prayer Movements
We received another important admonition for the prayer movements of the earth to not grow weary and lose hope as if their prayers were not being heard. God is moving whole civilizations around and it is a process. Keep praying during God’s process, for though the answers seem to tarry, they will not be late! God’s timetable seems to be “wait” and “suddenly.” Your prayers are availing much. The next generation is going to catch the fire of intercessory prayer.

All night prayer meetings on college campuses will become normal. These “boiler room” prayer meetings are birthing rooms for campus revivals. Universities across the world will see great moves of God likened to the Jesus People movement in the United States. New England, in the United States, is going to feel the rumbling of God’s power as the wells of revival are opened! Look to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, as well as others to experience God’s power and presence. God is preparing His “firebrands” who will be instruments of stewarding these moves of God, just like Whitfield and Wesley.
