Tonight’s Call – COREY SHANKLETON…TRAVERSING THE KINGDOM TRANSFER !

In the newsletter yesterday we talked about Divine Urgency. Have we been called to rescue and stand for truth so truth can rescue us? Think about that! A nationally known prophet had said we are under the curse of Isaiah 5:20…where we call evil good and good evil. The remedy is 2 Chronicles 7:14. The church must rise up to change it. Another question to ponder was the pandemic allowed to wake up the church to challenge it to stand for righteousness? We must move from surviving to thriving! This is the purpose of our nightly calls. We must not be ignorant of our enemies (devil) devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). We must hear from the Lord and seek His presence where grace will be given to destroy contamination and compromise in the church. A birthing of a new “Ecclesia” has manifested. We have been poured into a new wine skin.

We need God to bring forth a mighty show of power where there will be no doubt who God is. We must sound the alarm and awaken the warriors. Have we been awakened? YES! God is now holding us accountable as we are stewards of the earth (Genesis 1:26). We must go deeper and understand the nature of the spiritual war we are engaged in. There are 5 decisive factors which we must consider in our planning. The war we are in is a place where “life and death” are meeting; it is the road to “destruction or survival”. We must study these 5 FACTORS below. These factors are the path we must be on to be successful.

1. MORAL COMPASS…all we do must be based on a Biblical Worldview.

2. KINGDOM MENTALITY…thy Kingdom Come thy Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

3. EARTH RESPONSIBILITY…we have been called to Occupy the place we live and impact our Sphere of Influence.

4. COMMANDER…follow the leadership of our Commander in Chief…Jesus Christ.

5. REGULATION…means directing this spiritual army with training/equipping and tools/supplies to carry out our task to achieve victory.

As we move through this year, we will continue to lay out plans that will bring us the victory we so desire. We are being given revelation and understanding on the perils of waging war. As we receive this revelation from on high we will be guided on the best way to conduct it. Never forget, we are on a path where our enemies will be captured/eliminated and not just broken apart. We must not become weary in well doing but stay the course and hold the line.

“And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26)

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9-10)

Throughout history the people of Israel have been threatened and mistreated. Attacked and enslaved by other nations, singled out by maniac leaders with genocidal intentions, the Jewish people have faced thousands of years of insecurity. So when we read that the great King David on his deathbed called God the Rock of Israel (Tsur Yisrael) the words should make us all sit up and pay attention. When wise people are facing their own mortality, they often have great clarity and can put things in an amazing perspective. In effect, David was saying Israel would never be saved or sustained by great political leadership or military might. Their security wouldn’t be found in alliances with other nations. It was God who was Israel’s Rock, Israel’s foundation.

What mattered? What could give security? David saw the truth clearly. There is just one Rock. One place of security. One safe haven. One God. Others have glimpsed this truth to. When the thief on the cross next to Jesus realize that death was imminent, he no longer relied upon his criminal wits or delusional justifications. With everything stripped away, he poured out his honest thoughts and desperate need to Jesus. When Job lost his wealth and, more importantly, all his children, he no longer cared about possessions. He focused on finding meaning in God. When Jeremiah was threatened with death and escape seemed impossible, the prophet refocused his life on God, and finding fulfillment only in Him. You may not be Jewish, and you may not be in the shadow of the Valley of death. Even so, the Rock of Israel is your Rock. He’s the only sure foundation in life.

QUESTION: In what specific ways does God as your rock give you security?

“The God of Israel spoke, the rock of Israel said to me: when one rolls over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God, he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.” (2 Samuel 23:3-4)
