DAY 897 APRIL 20…LEARNING FROM OUR EXPERIENCES!
We must reflect on learning from our experiences. How does this coincide with the synergy of the ages? When looking at Hebrews 11 and 12 there is much to learn from these heroes of the faith through what they had experienced. They did not look at themselves as heroes at the time or even warriors. They were living purposeful lives in Christ making every attempt to impact the region they occupied. The Word gives us vital directions and counsel on how to live life through the experiences of the 12 apostles. Of course, we must never forget the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have a spiritual inheritance beyond words. They were all examples set before us to run the race!
Have you ever seen a relay race where they pass the baton? There is a lesson to be learned here as the baton is being passed from the last generation to us. When studying history, we see how the baton has been dropped many times and hindered the race that had been set before them. Coinciding with this are multitudes in heaven cheering us on. Today is the 897 consecutive nights of our prayer call. It has been quite a journey. We have said numerous times we never expected to be where we are today. What have we learned in the past few years from our calls? Mark, Corey, our prayer teams, and myself have attempted to bring forth revelation through God’s word. We have attempted to bring information, prophetic voices, devotionals, etc…to bring us all into a maturity in Christ. We all hope we are growing to be better disciples of Jesus Christ.
We have been uniquely placed in the season of time to run a race to be part of birthing a great awakening and to save a nation from premature destruction. The enemy of our souls has made every attempt to bring this nation down and persecute the church. We will not allow it to happen as the baton is in our hands and we will run towards the prize and fulfill our destiny and calling in Him. Stay the course and hold the line!
“One generation shall praise your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of your awesome acts, and I will declare your greatness. They shall honor the memory of your great goodness and shall sing of your righteousness.” (Psalm 145 4-7)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

You probably don’t remember when the Ford Model T dominated the automobile world, crushing all rivals. Or when the release of the new Sears catalog was as big a deal as a release of a new iPhone. How about when Internet Explorer was the only web browser and nobody googled anything? The point is obvious: Popular products come and go. We witnessed the rise of mighty companies and products, and then we watch them fade into obscurity as the next generation of technology and leadership takes their place. We call these entities powerful, but they are nothing in the face of real power.
On his deathbed, the great Jewish patriarch Jacob called God Abir Jacob, Abir is an old, poetic name for God that means the strong one. If Jacob could speak for himself here, no doubt he would tell us that God, who never ceases to be mighty, stands in sharp contrast to the world’s mighty corporations or leaders. He is an eternally dominant force, the ultimate authority for ever and ever, amen. God’s might is not tied to trends, popular opinion, or the fickleness of consumers. Fashion and culture do not in any way alter God’s power. In the day of Adam, God was mighty. In the days of Noah and Abraham, God was mighty. His mightiness remained constant in the days of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Malachi.
And His mighty power remains unlimited during this era of Bill Gates, Apple, and Amazon. Great products come and go. Powers rise and fall. Only God and His mighty power remains forever. We can be confident in this, and rest assured that when all else fades away, the Mighty One of Jacob will remain.
QUESTION: Where have you seen God’s mighty power at work recently?
