Tonight’s Call – HEARING THE VOICE OF THE LORD!
We all desire to hear the voice of the Lord. We all have experienced that need when facing a challenging or serious situation…and need answers! Wouldn’t it be nice if a sealed envelope from the Lord dropped from heaven with the answer. We may cry out – “Give me a sign” or I need a visitation. We all have been there in some form. We all need that communication from the Lord. By listening to God and hearing His voice, we can develop a deeper relationship with Him, which is God’s purpose for each of us. The Cross is our path and way home. Spending time in the Bible and quiet contemplation of His Word opens the door for recognizing His voice.
STEPS TO HEAR HIS VOICE
1. Position yourself before God…Secret Place!
2. Sit still and listen after praying an appeal.
3. Write down what you hear and respond giving thanks.
4. Obey and study God’s Word.
PRAYER TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE
I seek your face, your truth, and Your word for my life. I want to know You more, hear You more and obey You more. Your Word says Your sheep know Your voice and we will not follow the voice of the stranger. Help me to know Your voice and not be deceived by any other voice.
HEARING GOD’S VOICE IN SILENCE
1. Reading the Word.
2. Through wise counsel as God speaks to us through leaders and through wise counsel of friends and family.
3. Listening to worship music.
4. Eliminate all exterior distractions.
5. Observing the creation of God.
NOTE: Silence allows a connection to God beyond what words can express. It is a special gift for us to cultivate and used to aid our faith. Silence enables us to let God reach out to us.
It will take faith and patience to hear the voice of the Lord. Do not give up! You will experience times of a free flow of revelation from heaven. It does take discipline as the enemy of our souls tries to bring static and distractions from the second heaven. The good news is that He desires communication. May we stay the course and hold the line in seeking the voice of the Lord. Finding that sweet spot in the secret place will shake any wilderness attempting to overtake us.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
“The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is over many waters.The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.” (Psalm 29: 3-4)
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? And I said, Hear him I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. (Matthew 6:6)

NAMES OF GOD CHRISTOPHER HUDSON…PNEUMA – SPIRIT!
After the fundamental question of life… Does God exist? Another question: if there is a God what is God like? In a conversation with an unnamed Samaritan woman, Jesus answered the question this way: God is spirit. In other words, God is immaterial and invisible. As a spirit, God isn’t confined to a certain temple or shrine. He’s everywhere. He fills the universe. You can meet Him anywhere. The Biblical words are spirit and the Old Testament Hebrew word is ruwach. It is translated as wing, breath, mind, air, or spirit. The New Testament Greek word pneuma is typically translated power, wind, breath, state of mind, ghost. Those ideas such as when, breath, mind, and spirit are more closely connected that we might assume at first glance.
The Bible uses ruwach in its second verse (Genesis 1:2), where we see the Spirit of God hovering over the waters of the yet unfinished creation. A short time later, in Genesis 6:17, ruwach is translated as breath of life. There can be no life without breath, no life without ruwach to signify a physical wind. In the New Testament, Jesus compares the saving work of the Holy Spirit to the blowing wind (John 3:8).
The bad news of the gospel is that sin renders a spiritually dead and incapable of relating to the God who is Spirit. The good news of the gospel is that the God who is Spirit came into the world in the person of Jesus Christ. He did this to show us what He is like and also to make us spiritually alive by His grace, through our faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). The only way to become spiritually alive is to know God and respond to Him. Knowing God transcends the physical realm. Our communion with God can be enhanced by material realities and blessings, but it doesn’t require external, earthly things. We relate to Him, spirit to spirit. With the God who is Spirit makes a spiritually alive in Christ, we are able to live in a satisfying spiritual relationship with Him.
QUESTION: How is the untamable, powerful wind in the power of God similar?
“God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

I am so thankful for the “Trojan Horse” radical praying remnant who attends. We will gather again in the State Capitol on the dates below. What will it take to have pastors, ministry leaders, watchmen, and intercessors to see the importance of going into the belly of the beast???
