Tonight’s Call – ENLISTING AND RELEASING ANGELIC HOST !
God has provided numerous advantages for the believer as we engage in spiritual warfare. We have the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the whole armor of God, and the host of heaven which are angelic armies available to us. God dispatches His angels to assist us as Satan dispatches his angels to afflict us. Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” God has provided angels to serve us. They are sent where we pray and fight in the heavenly battlefield. We see how the apostle Paul was afflicted by Stan’s cohorts. It says in 2 Corinthians 12:7, “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.” Satan’s Angels, or demons, torment, harass and afflict. But because of God’s sovereignty, He can use this attack for a greater purpose. We must learn to weather the storms upon us and realize God allows these things to happen to mature us. We never said it would be easy. Spiritual warfare is intense and most of the church has no concept of this intensity.
Daniel 10:20-21 tells us that Angel armies are fighting in the spiritual realm, “Then he said, do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the Prince of Persia; and when I am gone forth, indeed the Prince agrees more, But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of truth. No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince.” Daniel 12:1 reveals how angels are assigned to specific people and places, “At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.” Are we not in such a time today?
The power of prayer enables us to release angels to come to our side. As Daniel we must set our faith toward God. Daniel was determined. He knew the promises and authority of God. He prayed in alignment with who God is and His will, not being motivated by selfish desires but moved with compassion for his people. Don’t we carry a compassion for our children and grandchildren and generations to come? We must make a request by prayer and supplication which depicts humility and mourning. Daniel confessed the sins of his people and recognize the awesomeness of God. He did not doubt that God could do above and beyond what you could think or ask. Faith and expectancy must be part of our prayers. We must realize that God keeps his covenant and mercy with those who love him. Daniel asked for forgiveness and restoration. Daniel asked for everything according to God’s righteousness to advance His righteous glory.
In this season of time, we must invoke the highest name and authority in the universe…JESUS CHRIST! Daniel coupled his prayer with fasting. Is it a time we must mirror what Daniel did? Yes! Daniel never gave up as he prayed and fasted for 21 days. There is value in persistent prayer. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” The practice of fasting adds fuel to the power of prayer. Fasting is denying the physical to gain spiritual. It strengthens prayer by narrowing your focus on God, humbly surrendering yourself to God, drawing closer to Him, and meditating on his word.
There is a spiritual battle happening on the heavenly battlefield. Your prayers… when aligned with God’s Word and will can dispatch warring angels. While these angels are fighting, keep praying. Trust what God is doing in the circumstances of life. Knowing God’s word, praying God’s word, and believing God’s word is a key to understand spiritual warfare and releasing angelic host in our behalf. Why not ask angels to surround our loved ones? What about those who are in authority? Daniel 10 reveals the heavens as a great angelic battlefield. In the battle that we face against the kingdom of darkness, God has not left us without help. We fight from a position of victory in Christ, and have the Holy Spirit inside of us. We have the spiritual weapons and armor to use against every attack of the enemy and to advance the kingdom of God. The angels are there to assist us and even Jesus received the ministry of angels after his conflict and victory over the devil in the wilderness for 40 days. The Bible says that the devil left him, and behold, angels came and ministered to him (Matthew 4:11).
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
