Tonight’s Call – Blow the Trumpet in Zion Approaching Storm Coming
“BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION, SOUND THE ALARM!” – PASTOR MATT JONES
This past Saturday, I ministered at the State Capital in Lansing, MI. On the way there I had an intense vision – I saw & heard sirens going off, then very clearly I heard the Lord say “Blow the Trumpet in Zion, Sound the Alarm! Tell my people!”
I made a post later Saturday night, but I wasn’t comfortable releasing a full word yet, because honestly – I’m not that kind of guy! I just don’t release warning words. I’m a reformer! I release words of reformation and revival. I’m also a pretty positive guy! So, I waited on the Lord for a few days. The Holy Spirit won’t let me wait any longer.
As I was speaking on Saturday, August 19th on the front steps of the Michigan State Capitol building, I said “I hear sirens going off. The Lord said to tell my people – “Blow the Trumpet in Zion, Sound the Alarm!”. The entire message I had written on my computer was all about blowing the trumpet and releasing the sound of the Ekklesia. Before I even got up to preach, the worship leader – being led by the Holy Spirit out of the blue – began to sing “Blow the Trumpet in Zion!”. This was obvious confirmation of the vision and the word the Lord had given me. Then, after my message, another confirmation happened, but one that put the fear of the Lord in me. A siren started going off, out of the blue, with no one setting it off or making it happen. It went on and on as we tried to figure out where it was coming from. The Lord is speaking so many things through this, and showed me so many things through the vision I had beforehand.
WHAT I SAW!
First, I saw in the spirit chaos. Straight up chaos. I saw the plans of the enemy to steal, kill and destroy from the coming Glory and move of God that is beginning to be poured out on our nation. Spoiler alert – he won’t succeed, but he will try. I saw the enemies’ plans to release chaos in our nation beginning in the next 30-60 days. We must fast and pray. I specifically saw chaos in the government, and possibly in the military. I definitely saw widespread chaos across the land. The Lord was very clear to “sound the alarm so My people are ready” and not caught off guard. The church was caught off guard in 2020. The Lord does not want us to be caught off guard by chaos the enemy tries to bring to stop the move of God. He wants US to BLOW the TRUMPET and RELEASE a SOUND that will STRIKE the GROUND and TEAR the PLANS of the ENEMY DOWN! Specifically, the SOUND of the EKKLESIA – we MUST release a UNFIED SOUND! THIS is where the AUTHORITY COMES from. If we are to see a true move of God that shakes and shifts our nation we MUST put our differences aside and UNIFY as the Body of Christ, HIS Ekklesia! This is NOT a time to back down in fear or retreat, this is a time to ADVANCE!
As I was waiting for the Lord to reveal how He wanted me to release this word, the Holy Spirit said again “Blow the Trumpet in Zion, Sound the Alarm”, and I was like, “Ya, that’s what you said the other day”, and right away He said “But where did I say that in My Word?”. All of a sudden I knew exactly what He was saying, as a firehose began to unload upon me. This phrase is found in Joel 2:1. Israel had found themselves in a national crisis. Locusts had consumed and destroyed all of the crops and most of the land. Joel comes as a prophetic voice to call the people of God to lament and repent, and to turn back to the Lord!
Have we not seen as the locusts have gnawed away at and consumed those things that used to be seen as upright and good in our culture? Oh, how the locusts have gnawed away at the moral foundation of this very nation! The Lord is calling us likewise to lament & repent and turn back to the Lord! Just like Nehemiah repented to the Lord for his people before he was given the favor and ability to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, we must also go low in humility & repentance so that we will be postured to receive the favor, anointing, blessing & ability to rebuild the walls of this nation.
Joel continues to call the priests to not only lament and repent, but to call together the elders and the people of the land into a sacred assembly in the house of the Lord to fast & pray. THIS is what the LORD is SAYING to His CHURCH right NOW! We MUST not take this warning from the Lord as just another word but we MUST call together SACRED ASSEMBLIES all across this great land to FAST & PRAY and CRY OUT to the LORD to SAVE this NATION and DISMANTLE the PLANS of the ENEMY! If you read the rest of Chapter 1, it almost sounds like some of the news reports from the last year of everything that’s been happening.
I’m TELLING you, the Lord spoke SO CLEAR that the ANSWERS to what “Blow the Trumpet in Zion, Sound the Alarm” means is RIGHT HERE in Joel. We MUST understand the overarching message NOT ONLY of Joel but for US TODAY, is that the Lord will remain a REFUGE in the MIDST of chaos, and that His desire is to DWELL AMONGST His Covenant people, and POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT on ALL FLESH! (Joel 2:28) We MUST not be distracted or discouraged but be ENCOURAGED that the OUTPOURING is at HAND and THIS is why the locusts have been sent – but the Lord says to His Church in America right now “I WILL RESTORE ALL that the LOCUSTS have EATEN!”
You see, the GOOD NEWS about JOEL, is that it is more about the COMING GLORY and OUTPOURING than it is about the chaos! “Yes, the enemy will bring chaos, but that is why I am telling you NOW” says the Lord! “Do not FEAR! But be STRONG & VERY COURAGEOUS! For the LORD YOUR GOD is WITH YOU – although for a little while, you may need to endure various trials – it will PRODUCE GOLD that will PRAISE, HONOR and GLORIFY Me! Do not FEAR! For it is I who commands MY angel armies, and THOSE who are WITH us are GREATER than THOSE who are AGAINST us! For MIGHTY & STRONG is the army who carries out My Word!
If you will simply call out to Me, My people who are called by My name, and will consecrate a fast, and will gather together in sacred assembly, in humility and repentance before my altars, laying aside all of your own kingdoms – THEN you will be able, together, to fully embracing & walk in the full AUTHORITY of MY kingdom!” says the Lord.
“For I DESIRE to SEND The RAIN! But My RAIN will only FALL upon humble soil” says the Lord. “And then, I WILL perform and fulfill My Word! So BE READY! I WILL send the RAIN, the New Wine, the Oil and the GRAIN! My LATTER rain will pour out and OVERFLOW in the STREETS! The threshing floors will overflow & be FULL of WHEAT! For the New Wine and My Oil will flow from the HEAD to the FEET! What you’ve been crying out & praying for will SOON be RELEASED!
For My Promise that I gave finds its FULFILLMENT in THESE DAYS – that I will POUR Out My SPIRIT on ALL that look my WAY! And even though SOME may SAY – “Darkness has covered the earth and deep darkness the people”, yet I SAY My GLORY shall be SEEN upon YOU and in THESE DAYS I will GLORIFY the HOUSE of MY GLORY through your PRAISE, and even though troubles may come they won’t STAY, so keep your EYES on ME as you walk THROUGH My open DOORWAY”
