Tonight’s Call -THE BIBLE IS TRUE PT 2!
Is the Bible true??? Yes, it takes faith to believe that it is the infallible Word of God. But providing tangible evidence can be very helpful for many. In saying this the question always remains…”What evidence are you willing to accept as evidence?” Our experience is that churches seldomly or never present basic evidence on the authenticity of the Bible. I believe this is crucial seeing we live in a culture of skepticism, doubt, fake news, and attacks on Christianity. We must support this younger generation and provide them with any evidence that would help them be grounded in the faith. Remember, the goal is to take away our children and destroy all foundations.
“In the Lord I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? For look! The wicked bend their bow, They make ready their arrow on the string, That they may shoot [a]secretly at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:1-3)
The Bible is God’s voice in written form. It is a collection of 66 books, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written by more than 40 authors over 1,500 years. Later writings and archeology have confirmed that Bible people, places, and events were real. Biblical authors include national leaders (Moses & Joshua); prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel); disciples (Peter, James, John); and Gospel-sharers (Paul).
History/Documentation – There is significantly more documentation for the books of the Bible than there are for other historically recognized authors and literature, including Plato and others. The Bible is the greatest History book ever written.
Archeological Findings – Excavation sites and artifacts also provide evidence that many of the events, people, and places mentioned in the Bible really existed, including the Hittite people and the city of Jericho.
Eyewitness Accounts – The Gospels give multiple points of view and, in many cases, were written within the lifetimes of the people who witnessed the events recorded in the Bible. Writers focused on different aspects, but they had the same message: Jesus taught, healed, performed miracles, died on the cross, and rose from the dead.
The Life of Jesus – The fact that Jesus was a real, historical person is clearly documented by Jewish manuscripts, even before the Apostle Paul and the writers of the Gospels provided their eyewitness accounts. Other ancient cultural documents also reference his existence.
- 5. Science – The Bible is full of scientific evidence that is seldom recognized.
- 6. Laws of Common Probability – Statistics rarely are used to prove the Bible is true. We must look at the 300+ prophecies regarding Jesus Christ.
- 7. Mathematical Proof – Is it possible that mathematics proves the Bible to be true? YES!
Medical View of the Crucifixion – Many have not understood the death of Christ medically.
Dealing with Biblical Discrepancies – Some criticize the Bible for supposed contradiction. There are answers for every one of them.
When taking into account all of the evidence it would certainly help tip the scales for people to see that God is speaking through His Word and giving opportunity for all to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. What about redeemed lives as evidence? We see evidence of the Bible’s trustworthiness by the lives that have been changed and redeemed by it. A few examples include C. S. Lewis, a former atheist who became one of the world’s leading Christian apologists, and John Newton, a former slave-ship master who converted to Christianity and penned “Amazing Grace.”
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17)

Transformation MI/MI Capitol House of Prayer
I’m so excited about the booklet Rick and his team are putting together. We have 15 grandkids with 3 in collage. Our one son is a youth pastor,
so we would be interested in purchasing quite a few. To have a booklet we can put in their hands is surely a God idea. We have been on the call almost every night for a long time and have received so much good info. Thank You all for what you have done and are doing. . I have and will be praying for you.
