Tonight’s Call – GUEST EVANGELIST BOB WEINER!

Will abortion be a major part of the elections in the future? It appears so. It has emerged asa defining fault line of many of this year’s elections. The decision overturning Roe v. Wade scrambled American politics in 2022, transforming a longstanding social conflict into an electoral battering ram that helped DEMS in some critical victories. Our contention again is that the leadership in the church has not addressed its sphere of influence properly. The failure in Ohio yesterday is another example of this. This must change!

“These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to] Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.” (Proverbs 6: 17-19)

Now, as abortion restrictions and bans in red states have become reality, the issue is again on various state ballots, both explicitly and implicitly, in races across the country. The church must raise it’s voice even in those states that have moved forward in this death knell for the unborn. We must not be silent. The March for Life in Lansing MI that took place today is a pro-action movement where the unborn must be defended.

Simply put, abortion is ending the life of a baby before it leaves the mother’s womb, which is murder. These babies feel pain in an abortion. It is the killing of a human being created in God’s image because He values human life. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knew us before He formed us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s involved role in our creation and formation in the womb. Also, Exodus 21:22-25 defines the same punishment, death, for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder.

Over 98% of the abortions performed today involve women who simply do not want to have the baby. Less than two percent of abortions are for rape, incest, or the mother’s life is at risk. With today’s technology, a child can survive outside the womb at just 21 weeks gestation. Regardless of these facts, abortion is one of the biggest industries in our nation. It is also one of the biggest mission fields.

POINT TO PONDER: Recently Hamas attacked Israel. A pregnant woman was shot to death and her living baby was cut out of her womb then stabbed to death. Do you think that is
heinous? Every day in the United States through similar acts occur “legalized abortion.” We must repent for sacrificing the unborn on the altar of “choice.” We cry out for mercy and justice.
God’s Word and Scientific evidence proves that Life begins at conception.
