Tonight’s Call – THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL!

“And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” (Matthew 9:37)

Jesus could have spent every waking hour healing and teaching. There was no shortage of people who needed the gospel of the kingdom proclaimed to them. In His earthly existence, He was limited by His human body. He could not be everywhere at once, nor could He meet every need. He grew tired and hungry. Practically speaking, He needed others to go out and preach the gospel. People are the harvest—lost souls waiting to be saved and brought into God’s kingdom. The problem was not that there were not enough people to harvest, but that there were not enough laborers to do the work.

If a man owned a farm, there are two problems he might encounter when it comes time to harvest. The first is that he might hire a lot of people to work in the fields but there would not be enough work to keep them busy. The second might be that there is so much to harvest that he just can’t find enough people to do the work.

The same set of problems could be evident in any church or Christian ministry. There might be so many volunteers and donors that the needs are fully met and many of the helpers just stand around with nothing to do. On the other hand, there might be so many needs that everyone who turns out to work is stretched to the max, with many needs remaining unmet. In reality, the second scenario is far more common, and the first is virtually unheard of. In Matthew 10, Jesus sends out the disciples to begin the harvest. That pattern continues with the “Great Commission” in Matthew 28. All Christians are supposed to be working in the harvest. The problem is not that there are not enough needs to meet and souls to harvest but that there are too few workers to do all that needs to be done.

In Christian ministry, we need to pray for more workers to go out into the harvest fields to work. Practically speaking, instead of praying for more people to be saved, we should pray that more people actively share the gospel. When praying for a lost loved one, we should pray for him or her to encounter more believers who will reach out with truth and love. If we are dissatisfied with the way things are, we need to pray that God will send us out to make a difference. If any Christian is not involved in gospel ministry, it is not because there is nothing for him to do; rather, is that he has chosen to sit on the sidelines instead of joining in the work that surrounds him. The harvest is plentiful.

B. GEOLOGY: The fossilization of large organisms such as dinosaurs and whole trees presents a problem for the traditional evolutionary approach to fossilization. Some of these fossils (called poly strata fossils) are found intact and poking through multiple rock layers. Organisms of this size could never have been fossilized by a slow burial over time. Observation of the world around her shows that organisms decay rather than fossilize. Think how long it would take to bury a huge dinosaur body by slow sedimentation over large periods of time. The body would be long gone before it was ever buried. One must conclude that these types of fossils were rapidly buried under large amounts of sediment.

In Newcastle, England, a fossilized tree 59 feet long and almost 6 1/2 feet in diameter was found buried at a 40° angle. The tree goes through 10 separate layers of coal. This evidence fits the biblical flood model but cannot possibly be explained by slow burial over millions of years. It is the extent, character, and number of these types of geological formations that testify to the worldwide flood spoken of in the Bible.

“The waters stood above the mountains. But at your rebuke the waters fled, they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.” (Psalm 104:6-8)

“I am suffering by far the worst conditions I have ever been in. Worst conditions known to man. I have been held for a week without a change of clothes, without access to phone calls, without access to a towel/ hygiene products, without access to a pencil or piece of paper to write a letter, and I am stuck in a bleak, dirty featureless dungeon-like cell 23 hours a day, with a light in the cell that never turns off. The one hour a day I am given to leave my cell Monday through Friday is a 15×15 bird cage to stand in, where you are separated from other inmates and any human interaction. The environment I am in is so devoid of simulation the days and nights melt together. We don’t have books, we don’t have a radio, we don’t have access to our family, we don’t know what time it is, and the guards completely ignore every request of ours.

This is hell on earth. I come to you not in the spirit of defeat, nor am I down trotted by my enemies’ attempts to break me, but these clear evident human rights abuses at the hands of the Biden DOJ need to be exposed and immediately stopped. They have threatened to strip me naked and keep me in a cell in a painters paper zip up suit for asking for grievance paperwork, legal calls, and religious services. The diet they force upon you is wholly insufficient and leaves you starving every day before nightfall.

We are served our last meal at 4pm with 15 minutes to eat before they pound on our cell door to take our tray away. I am denied commissary, so I am left hungry for the rest of the day. Without the love of God, I would be in the most hopeless situation I could ever imagine any human being surviving under. Every semblance of human dignity has been stripped from me including my most sacred right to speak freely to my loved ones, to the court and to you the people. The evil BOP and DOJ are trying their hardest to make me disappear from humanity. I’ll survive if they don’t kill me. Do not be in fear because God is still in control. “
