We are in unprecedented times! People are rising across our nation and fighting for future generations to be free. These people can be called heroes of the faith. What is a hero? The dictionary defines “hero” as “a person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his or her brave deeds and noble qualities.” Heroes come in many forms in life, ranging from one’s family, friends, and can be an athlete, entertainer and yes even a politician. The heroes that are rising today are mainly normal people who see the danger that exists at this present time.

Can anyone be a hero? Yes, a hero can be a person that saves lives, but a hero can be anyone that does something they have fear of but are brave enough to still do something. … Bravery is usually the biggest trait of a hero. This person has usually overcome huge obstacles to survive or to rescue others. They flash into public view like signal flares, dazzling us with their courageous and selfless acts. Put another way: Heroes aren’t born, they’re made. … Expertise and training in helping others often spur people to act — rather than run or freeze — in a crisis.

On our nightly calls many times we have featured heroes who are making a stand in a place that God has called them to. Most are just plain normal people who have been called out of normalcy and have been thrust into the spotlight. We can refer to them as a remnant people fighting for personal and religious freedom. As David slew Goliath then Israel rallied against the Philistines. Our modern-day heroes are also rallying people to fight in prayer and action steps.

We can cite Biblical heroes as examples to us where many gave up their lives to stand for truth and righteousness. Hebrews chapter 11 can be called the “Hall of Faith”!

Abel – First Martyr in the Bible. …
Enoch – The Man Who Walked With God. …
Noah – A Righteous Man. …
Abraham – Father of the Jewish Nation. …
Sarah – Mother of the Jewish Nation. …
Isaac – Father of Esau and Jacob. …
Joseph – Interpreter of Dreams.
Others were Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the prophets of the Old Testament.

Yes, these are biblical examples above whom we have read about. As we stand before the Lord someday there are hidden ones across our nation who I believe God will say well done my good and faithful servant. Each of us have been called to write our own chapter to impact the sphere of influence God is giving you whether small or large. May God give you grace to be that hero, having faith, to bring America back to righteousness and justice.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

“Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.” (Joshua 1:6)

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (1 Corinthians 16:13)
