As we close out this old year and move into the New Year 2022 there are areas, we need to identify to continue our fight on the road to victory. We must reveal the strategy of our enemy. His tactics are based on fear, fatigue, and fatalism. We must make sure we do not fall prey to these so we must look to the CROSS for strength to overcome.
FEAR: An emotion caused by anxiety or the uneasiness of being afraid of something or someone.
FATIGUE: A feeling of constant tiredness or weakness and can be physical, mental or a combination of both that can affect anyone.
FATALISM: Stresses the subjugation of all events or actions to fate or destiny and is commonly associated with the consequent attitude of resignation in the face of future events which are thought to be inevitable.
*What about fear? The purpose of fear is to bring forth control which results in the loss of our freedoms. It is contagious like an epidemic. Look at what has manifested in our culture this past year. It has caused the church to retreat in many ways this year. What is the remedy of fear? It is embodied in one word FAITH! The purpose of our nightly calls is to gather the people of faith together. Faith is our spiritual weapon with our unity of purpose to beat back this antichrist spirit that is attempting to overthrow the world.
*What about Fatigue? Yes, I have gotten tired at times. But I understand the enemy of our souls desires to wear us down. This battle is longer than most have expected. This morning I experienced a burst of confidence and strength to stay the course and hold the line. What is the remedy for fatigue? We must renew our strength in the Lord by appealing to heaven. May His joy be our strength. Ask the Lord for that second wind to run the race! Be strong and courageous! Be not weary in well doing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
*What about fatalism? We have been given the authority as adopted sons and daughters to shift history. The enemy desires to implant a defeatist spirit within us and to accept what he is doing. He tries to instill hopelessness as we see casualties of this spiritual war. What is the remedy for fatalism? We must look to the Word of God and see what God has done through history through heroes of the faith. Look upon David, Moses, Esther, Joshua, Caleb, Gideon and so many others. Why not us? May these stories of old build your faith, eliminate fear, and destroy the spirit of fatalism. We are called to occupy and take the offensive as GRACE will be our strength.
Realize, the Lord has chosen us for this hour and season of time, and He will not abandon us. I am looking forward to this New Year! We will run together as one!!!
