Tonight’s Call – COREY SHANKLETON…BUILDING THE CHURCH IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAOS!

How can chaos be good? Chaos is a state of utter confusion or disorder. It is a total lack of organization or order. Chaos will usually lead to persecution of Christians who carry the truth. Why is that the case? The answer is that they carry the solution to end the chaos. This solution always will lead to a harvest of souls which is diametrically opposed by the enemy of God’s Kingdom advancing…Satan and his minions. During chaos people suffer…many times innocent people. Have you ever wondered how often our brothers and sisters in different parts of the world suffer from persecution and religious violence? How are they constantly placed in a tight spot just because they believe in Christ?

What are the main reasons why Christians are targeted for following Jesus:

The Authoritarian governments view Christianity as a threat to power.
Suspicion of anything outside the majority cultural faith…it challenges the surrounding culture.
Extremist groups want to destroy Christians out of hatred…it is competition for their belief systems
A harvest of souls will set people free from bondage.
Evil is exposed.

Historically, chaos and persecution always build the church. Suffering people are put in a place where they must look up and make an appeal to God. The church carries the hope and peace to set people free from their despair and suffering. So, realize the Lord is building His church today through all the chaos we are experiencing today. These are times of opportunity as heaven will invade earth if we as believers cry out to Him.

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,” (1Corinthians 14:33)

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11: 28-30)

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6)

“The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.” (Proverbs 16:4)
