TONIGHT’S CALL LANA KRISTAL…THE LIVING WATER OF LIFE!

Water is vitally important to our physical and spiritual life. Physically speaking water boosts energy levels; water delivers important nutrients to all our cells, especially muscle cells, postponing muscle fatigue; water helps weight loss; water aids in digestion; water detoxifies and water hydrates skin. Most of our bodies are made up of water so to not hydrate properly will be very detrimental to our health. Did you know brain imaging research has shown that proximity to water is strongly linked to your brain releasing feel-good hormones, including dopamine and oxytocin. Personally, walking a beach with waves rolling in or looking out over a body of water. glancing at a flowing river does something to my inner man.

More importantly is the SPIRITUAL application of water! We remember that water and blood poured from Jesus’ wound (John 19:34), while he was crucified. It invokes the Divine Mercy that is given to humanity from the cross of Jesus. Blood and water from His Side pierced by a spear symbolizes the grace of given promises, help, forgiveness all provided through the CROSS!

Water is given to us by Our Lord Almighty. Christ walked on water, and transmuted it into WINE, thus these acts can be seen as a transcendence of the earthly condition. Christians are baptized with or in water, symbolizing a purification of the soul, and an admission into the faith. The spiritual meaning of water mainly represents emotions, new beginnings, and purification. Water is equated with the Word of God, and it washes us. This living water represents the words of eternal life, the message of salvation, the truths about God and his kingdom; it is the doctrines of the gospel. Water (Word of God) is our spiritual necessity of life.

NOTE: The next time you drink a glass of water or view a body of water, stop for a moment, and reflect how this is a source of life provided by our Creator.

“But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14)

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:14)

“O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.” (Psalm 63:1)

“That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians 5: 26-27)
