TONIGHT’S CALL – COREY SHANKLETON…BUILDING THE ECCLESIA!!!

The “GOLIATH OF ABORTION” has been dealt a deadly blow as we all know. The battle now goes to the states where in Michigan the hordes of hell have descended. A petition was just turned in with supposedly the required number of signatures where it will go on the ballot in November. It was a political move to mobilize votes for the current evil administration in the November election. A portal of hell has been opened which if not dealt with will destroy our state and nation. This has always been the root cause of evil upon our land…the shedding of innocent blood. Various views within GROUPS on abortion must be understood. I took these points from an article by Focus on the Family.

THE GROUP OF SILENCE – The “Group of Silence” consists of people who are typically familiar with the biblical emphasis on the value of life. This group agrees with the Bible’s assertion that, from the womb to tomb, life should be protected. However, their internal agreement with scripture remains locked within their fearful hearts.

THE GROUP OF MISPLACED COMPASSION – Many young Christians hold misplaced compassion favoring the situational fears of an unplanned pregnancy rather than showering mercy on the injustice of abortion. We must be very clear: Christians should display radical compassion toward ALL women who find themselves in a frightening pregnancy situation (1 Corinthians 16:14 and 1 John 4:8). However, our compassion must look different than that of the world. The world’s compassion will encourage women to have an abortion so they can follow their dreams and be successful. The compassion of Christ links arms with women and helps them believe that they will be great mothers. Most importantly, it equips them with the resources to continue following their dreams even after having their baby.

THE PEOPLE OF THE WORD GROUP – this group consists of people who believe that life is worth defending. And they do this with words and actions. These people are not fearful about the world’s opinions of abortion; instead, they are only concerned with promoting Kingdom values from the peaceful protest of the March for life to the cries that arose after the tragedy of George Floyd’s passing, we find evidence that today’s young people are aching for truth. The quest for truth is a problem that only one man, Jesus Christ, can solve. Being the body of Christ, the church must take the initiative to extend our hands and hearts out to those who are desiring to know the truth. Moreover, the church must become the source of inspiration for those overcome with fear when considering speaking their views on abortion. This issue matters to God, so we must respond with acts of worship and surrender as we advocate on behalf of the defenseless. The Bible has a lot to say about abortion and the preborn. It consistently proclaims the utmost importance of protecting life in the womb. This portrayal is found in the Old and New Testament, particularly in the Psalms and in the life of Jesus while resting in Mary’s womb (Psalm 139, Psalm 51, Luke 1).

PRAYER AND ACTION STEPS MUST BE IMPLEMENTED!

1. We must diligently pray as the power of prayer calls down angelic hosts. A daily appeal to heaven is necessary currently in Michigan as well as other pro-abortion states.

2. We must pray to see the veils on the hearts of people must be lifted. The horror of abortion in the attack on the sanctity of life must be clearly understood. The law was written into our hearts (Romans 2: 14-15) and the seared conscience of man must be reactivated with a commandment clearly clarifies you shall not murder. Holy Spirit conviction is needed like never before. The outer revelation we speak forth will bear witness with the inner revelation in men’s hearts.

3. We must seek to hear the voice of the Lord and be given strategies how to defeat this evil in Michigan and other pro-abortion states

4. We must now encourage the church to be in one accord as unity of the church is critical. A house divided will not stand.

5. We must reach out to pastors, Ministry leaders, and every Christian in the body of Christ to be people of conviction and make a stand.

6. We must individually sacrifice our time, talents, and resources for the greater cause. May the spiritual gifts within us be activated!

7. We must by faith see the result of victory. Bring the kingdom of God into your imagination and it will become a reality. Declarations for the unborn must be made as there is life and death in our tongues.

Will you join me in this fight? We will see much shakings in the next four months but we will not be deterred from the cause of defending the unborn. We all have been called for such a time as this so stay the course and hold the line!

“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you instate the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.'” (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

“The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.” (Isaiah 49:1b)

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139: 13-16)
