Tonight’s Call – TESTIMONIES OF SALVATION/AWAKENING!
Historically, we see that God’s grace is poured out with abundance where many souls come into the kingdom. We are in such a time as this! There are so many people out there to be cared for and brought to God. The pressures and the challenges of the times we have experienced the past few years had created a tipping point of need for salvation and for people to receive the hope of the gospel. So many times, we have found that few people are willing to go out there and do the work. The harvest field or our personal mission fields are right before us. The symbolic meaning of harvest in Scripture encompasses two main areas: God’s provision for us and God’s blessing for others. While we celebrate a harvest season just once a year, we experience a spirit of harvest all the time. Whatever a man sows he shall reap. Whatever you want to harvest determines what you will do. What you want your future to become determines what you do today. What you harvest tomorrow is a product of the seed sown yesterday or the ones sown today.
I viewed the Jesus Revolution movie yesterday. It spoke to me because I live during a very time, and I remember very vividly how a rejected that gospel opportunity given to me while in Eastern Michigan University. But the Lord is faithful after I graduated from college and the couple was praying for my wife and I at the school I was hired to teach and coach at. I never forgot the times when the teaching staff would get together for parties in this couple would be off to the side not really participating in the activities that we engaged in which included drinking and many times lewd jokes.
I left that position and moved to northern Michigan where I landed another teaching job. I did not know this couple were continuing to pray for us. My wife had an encounter at a beauty shop where she worked with the business owner. She noticed many Christians’ coming in and talking about the Lord. Then one day my wife was confronted by that business owner whether she had a relationship with Jesus Christ. My wife had indicated to her she was searching in areas that were not of the Lord. The business owner took her to Deuteronomy 18 and showed her in the word what she was doing was what the Bible called an abomination. Certainly, this alarmed her and she began looking in the Bible.
During that time, I left my teaching position to go into sales. I was gone a few nights and I came home and my wife had indicated to me that she was born again and received the Lord Jesus Christ. She watched a Billy Graham broadcast on TV and gave her heart to the Lord. I was moved by her testimony that evening but the next morning I was rejecting what she had received because I did not want my lifestyle to change. She stood her ground and convince me to go visit a local Assembly of God Church where I sat with my arms folded. To make a long story short, some people reached out to me in the church to help me in some tree cutting that I needed to do on my property. It was a good Friday and as we sat down for lunch they witnessed the gospel to me and I definitely felt something inside and that was the point my life changed. There is more to the story as the pastor eventually came out led me through the sinners prayer.
The first people I called were that couple who stood out as Christians in the first school I had a teaching job. When I called them they were very happy and they indicated they were praying for my wife and I all those years. This should be a lesson to all of us as we look at our prayer list to procure answers as God hears our prayers and the lives we are praying for will be impacted. In America at this time the door has been opened for massive number of people coming into the kingdom. Will you be that labor that goes of the harvest? Will you be that faithful prayer warrior staying in the gap for those who had that need to receive Jesus and be saved? When we see what is manifesting now in the middle of all the evil and oppression America is under the God of grace is on the move. Whether it’s Asbury in Kentucky; outbreaks of revival across America; or the Jesus Revolution movie that is being shown in theaters across the nation we must be thankful that God is at work!
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:11)
“After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10: 1-2)

DAILY DECLARATION WE SHOULD BE MAKING:
“I am bought by the covenantal Blood of Jesus, and I cannot be cursed. Therefore, I take authority over every demonic assignment against myself, my family, my ministry, my business or my God-ordained leadership role. I break every assignment of Athaliah, and every type of spirit that goes along with it – the affliction, the constriction, the compression; and I decree right now, in Jesus’ name, that Jesus is my true King, and I will serve Him only. I declare I am in covenant with God and I’m going to be the intercessor, the reformer, and the watchman-warrior that He has called me to be. I receive fresh fire from Heaven so that I can complete my assignments and fulfill my destiny, in the name of Jesus Christ.”
NAMES OF GOD CHRISTOPHER HUDSON…!
The biggest need of guilty sinners isn’t understanding or even sympathy. His forgiveness. Thankfully, our God is El Nahsah, the God who forgives. We first see indications of this in Genesis 3:15. Right on the heels of Adam and Eve’s shocking rebellion, God hints at His plan to redeem them, and the world, from sin. Another early reference to God’s forgiving nature is seen in Exodus 34:7– just a couple of chapters after Israel’s most heinous rejection of God– where the Almighty assures Moses that He forgives wickedness, rebellion, and sin. How did God accomplish this amazing work of forgiving our offenses? The apostle Paul tells us it came about through Christ taking our sins— all of them— with Him to the cross (Colossians 2:13). We really do serve a God who has removed our sin as far away from us as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).
God’s forgiveness is once and for all, as well as ongoing. His past, present, and future. In Christ, God has forgiven us; and He continues to forgive us. Shockingly, He does not demand that we be perfect. In fact, our mess ups have no effect on His love. It’s stunning, but true: No matter how many times We Go Our Own Way, God continues to offer a pardon. So, how are we doing when it comes to forgiving others for their transgressions against us? The apostle Peter once asked Jesus, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?” And Jesus answered, 77 times– a Jewish idiom meaning as many times as necessary (Matthew 18:21-22). When we keep God’s mercy to us in mind, it becomes easier to extend that same forgiveness to others. If God doesn’t hold our offenses against us, can we afford to do the same for others? When we’ve been forgiven much, we should love much.
QUESTION: How do we keep from taking God’s forgiving nature for granted?
“Lord our God, you answer them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punish their misdeeds.” (Psalm 99:8)
