Tonight’s Call – OUR CRY FOR JUSTICE!
Biblical references to the word justice mean to make right. Justices, first and foremost, a relational term. It is people living in a right relationship with God, one another, and the natural creation. God always acts with justice.
JUSTICE: it is a quality or habit which perfects the will and inclines it to render to each into all what belongs to them. The object of the virtue of justice is the other person’s rights, whether natural or bestowed by the church or state. It is a concept of moral rightness based on ethics, rationality, law, natural law, religion, or equity. It is also the act of being just and or fair.
You can have absolute confidence that no one will be punished for a sin he or she did not commit. No sin will be punished in a way that is disproportionate to the offense. No one will escape from the justice of God. As we see all the evil that is being exposed there is a cry for justice within our hearts. How can these things be allowed to go on without some type of consequence? Many of us have felt frustration in these times. But never forget God is always watching how everything unfolds.
Our God is a God of justice! For the getting to the end of the biblical story, God desires that all people will know him, and that humans would serve, not oppressed; share, rather than hoard; and empower, rather than the mean. The justice of God is only done by faith and those who are of faith are righteous – not perfect. They do what is right by God and, because of this, He executes justice on their behalf when they turn to Him. This is one of the main purposes of our call as we make appeals to heaven. Yes, we desire mercy, but justice must prevail. Pursuing justice does not mean enacting revenge. We know that God is the only true judge of hearts and actions. In our pursuit of justice, we must acknowledge that God is ultimately in control, and trust that He will have the final say in all matters of injustice committed in our world.
Justice has pillars. One is being fair in processes; we must be transparent and actions; we must provide opportunity for voices to be heard is important; and being impartial in decision-making. Christians believe that God is a God of justice. He is the ultimate judge, and everyone will be answerable to Him one day for their actions. Here on earth, however, He has delegated the right to judge crimes to the state. When the law sentences a criminal, it is exercising justice on God’s behalf. How many times have we seen abuse of this very thing in our modern day? People of prayer and action must make this right. Never forget God loves justice (Psalm 11:7).
“For the Lord is a God of justice, blessed are all those who wait for him! (Isaiah 30:18)
“Give justice to the poor and the orphans; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.” (Psalm 82:3)
“Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God.” (Micah 6:8)
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you; He will see that they get justice, and quickly.” (Luke 18:7-8)
“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” (Ecclesiastes 8:11)

COMMUNISM SUBVERSIVE WAR ON AMERICA…TREVOR LOUDEN
NAMES OF GOD CHRISTOPHER HUDSON – EL YALAD…THE GOD WHO GAVE YOU BIRTH!
The exhausted new mother holds her infant son as the child’s nervous and proud father looks on. They are filled with joy and wild hopes for their newborn. You would be awful to tell them at this moment, just so you know, that precious little guide there is going to grow up to give you all kinds of headaches and more than a few heartaches. The fifth book of the Bible, the last book of the Pentateuch, is Deuteronomy. It’s an elegant piece of writing, equal parts, history, warning, challenge, and theology lessons. In short, Deuteronomy is Moses’ final chance to impart wisdom, his last shot at reminding his forgetful people of eternal truths. Near the end of his appointment words, Moses referred to the God who gave you birth – El Yalad. The Hebrew yalad means to birth, to calve, calling us to mind the joy of new life. But the word also has pain associated with it. Just as human birth is a time of celebration during pain, so the miraculous birth of the Hebrew nation through which God would bring salvation to the world, was set up against a long backdrop of struggle and difficulty.
God gave birth to humanity knowing full well all the pain we would cause both Him and one another. He gave birth to Israel, despite knowing in advance His people would dessert and forget Him. God grants a spiritual life when we believe, making us His very children (John 1:12), even though He knows we’ll be little hellions. Why would the Almighty knowingly bring into existence offspring that were certain to break His heart? The answer, of course, is love that is inexplicable, irrational Divine love. In the same way immature kids take parental love for granted, immature believers fail to appreciate God’s infinite affection. But as we grow spiritually, as we taste grace, as her eyes are open to the crazy love of the God who gave us birth, we are changed.
QUESTION/COMMENT: When do you find yourself most inclined to forget God?
“You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.” (Deuteronomy 32:18)
