Tonight’s Call – COMMAND THE FOREWARD – CALL TO THE WALL!

HISTORY OF CAPE HENRY…COMMAND THIS FOREWARD?

We will continue to encourage everyone on our nightly conference call to engage in “Command the Forward – Call to the Wall” in the months of July and August. We are preparing the way for the month of September. We are seeing clearly now how this radical praying remnant on our call has been prepared for such a time as this. We will be continually called to move ahead on various assignments. Here is some of the background on our efforts!

CAPE HENRY – Cape Henry marks the approximate site where Jamestown settlers first landed in the New World on April 27, 1607. They built a wooden cross and planted it in the sand naming the place Cape Henry. This is the first landing site of those adventurous Englishmen who, some three weeks later, establish the first permanent English colony in North America at Jamestown. America’s destiny and purpose were sealed with that cross at Cape Henry. All that would follow in our nation’s growth hinged on the single proclamation that this land belonged to Jesus Christ. In the Mayflower compact of 1620, the pilgrims reaffirmed the mission set forth by the original Virginia settlers.

Pastor Robert Hunt led colonists in the following prayer some 415 years ago: “Land, and ourselves, to reach the people within these shores with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise of Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the kingdom of God to all the earth.”

All of us were taught that the Pilgrims came to America for freedom of worship or religious freedom, but that’s really not true, said Dr. Peter Marshall, an author and historian. They said that they came to America to propagate the gospel among the Indians and to become, themselves, steppingstones for the furtherance of the gospel to the outermost parts of the earth. So they were literally missionaries who landed on our shores. The Puritans carried the Cape Henry legacy further. On the deck of the Arbella, halfway between England and Cape Cod, leader John Winthrop declared, “We shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us, so that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause him to withdraw his present out from us, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world.”

DEFINITION OF FOREWARD: It is a piece of writing, placed at the beginning of a book or piece of literature. It often tells of some interaction between the writer of the forward and the book’s primary author or the story the book tells.

COMMAND THE FOREWARD – In Michigan, as you very well know, we are beginning an initiative based on a dream by Gina Gholston. Here is a portion of that dream: “Then the Lord spoke and said, ‘There is a shaking coming, but you must not fear! You must know and be convinced that this nation is anchored and surrounded. KNOW that! Be convinced of it!’

“Then, a manilla folder appeared in the lap of each of the leaders on the stage. We opened our folders to find one sheet of paper each. On the paper were listed four instructive bullet points. Across the top of the page was written: ‘COMMAND THE FOREWORD!’” – Gina continued, “I understood that a foreword is something written for the beginning of a book. Was God saying that everything was going to be destroyed by the coming shaking and a ‘new book’ was going to be started? There was a microphone on the stage, so I walked up to it and asked, ‘Lord, what does this mean?’

He answered audibly, speaking to all of us, ‘It’s time to command what was written at the beginning. Command the Foreword! Bring this nation back into alignment with that which was written in the beginning—when this land became a nation. This is the purpose for which she was established. The Foreword is the prophetic decrees that were spoken in agreement with My intended purposes. Now, I say to you, ‘COMMAND THE FOREWORD!’ Know My purposes! Decree those purposes! Do not back down! Agree and decree, and your decrees will provoke a shaking that will bring this nation back into alignment with My original Foreword.
