Tonight’s Call – MOVING THE BALL FORWARD!
We must continue to bring back the foundations our nation was founded on. Those foundations have been assaulted and there is every attempt being made to destroy them. What is our responsibility? Each generation is responsible for the next. What we have witnessed is the failure of past generations to uphold what our nation was founded on. We must stop this destruction of our foundations. We must continue to move forward in our prayer and action initiatives. Studying our past historical foundations is a key for our success today.
“In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? For look! The wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string, that they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? (Psalm 11: 1-3)
Our present generation has now been offered a historical opportunity. What we are doing presently is changing the spiritual atmosphere in the regions we are called to occupy. Atmosphere can be defined as the “pervading tone or mood of a place, situation, or work of art.” Words and actions directly affect and even create the prevailing atmosphere. God works in atmospheres. We see this in the life of Jesus:
“And He did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief” (Matthew 13:58).
In a city where the dominant mood was one of unbelief, there was nothing Jesus could do. Yet, time and again, we see that He healed the sick and even raised the dead in places where faith and expectancy prevailed—the same faith and expectancy is under activation today in our personal God given assignments. Atmospheres do matter, and if we are to see our homes and our cities change, we must create a faith-filled atmosphere—one that will be conducive to the work of God, and even to the building and advancement of His Kingdom. We can recover our Biblical Foundations if we keep moving forward no matter the obstacles we may face. Will this be easy? No! We must draw on Biblical examples as well as our nation’s history and glean from the good and successes of the past to encourage us.
IS WORSHIPPING THE LORD PART OF THIS RECLAIMING OF FOUNDATIONS AND MOVING FORWARD? I SAY YES!!!
“And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.” (1 Samuel 16:23)
David carried an anointing and the evil distressing spirit had to flee. We carry the same anointing and can remove any evil from the areas we occupy. He inhabits our praises!

Many of us proudly wear clothes touting our favorite sport team. We take pride in wearing jerseys with the numbers of our favorite athletes. We can’t think of a better team to be on than team Jesus. Instead of jersey numbers, wouldn’t it be nice to share verse numbers? Wouldn’t it be nice to share the power of God’s Word?
His Word never returns empty. Imagine the conservations that you will be able to initiate simply by sharing God’s Word! “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12We are not theologians. We are simply a husband-and-wife team who have been reading God’s Word daily for over two decades. His Word has enriched our lives in good times and in bad. We feel called to share this gift. It is our sincere hope that the resources available at God’s Promises Are True will not only be a blessing to you and your family, but also to a world sorely in need of hearing the truths that can only be found in God’s Word.
