Tonight’s Call – KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU!

CHRIS REED MORNINGSTAR – HEAL OUR LAND!

The enemy always comes when a nation is at its highest historical peak. After a season of great blessing and accomplishment, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. When God is anointing and
using us in mighty ways, it seems to be our greatest moment of weakness and vulnerability. When our guard is down, spiritual warfare comes. This scenario fit Solomon’s fresh revelation from God and warning of impending danger. Here was his warning in this second visitation: “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain…” Remember, God was speaking to an entire nation here. When God
shuts up heaven, it usually means drought, famine, or what some have called “climate change.” That is God’s limited judgment. “Or command the locusts to devour the land…” That sounds like crop
failures, food shortages, and supply chain crises. “Or send pestilence among My people…” That sounds like pandemics, viruses, and COVID.

The Lord basically said, “I am glad you are enjoying the ride. I am glad you are having a high moment. The glory of the Lord is falling, kindness is falling, and people are falling out. The priests cannot even stand to minister. The churches are in good shape. The temple worship is pure and right. You are enjoying the best of the best.” Then we look introspectively, and that is when we begin to get uncomfortable. There is drought coming, unique climate anomalies. Then, if our nation is not concerned with climate change, drought, and famine, we will experience food shortages and supply chain problems. Then, if that is not enough, there will be pandemics, viruses, and pestilence.

When these things happen, just know that the Lord is chastening those whom He loves (see Hebrews 12:6) to turn the hardened hearts of a people and nation that once called on Him or considered
themselves a Christian nation, just as Israel once looked to the Lord their God. Israel’s national motto could have once been ours: “In God We Trust.” Again, God was basically saying, when you see
everything going awry—economy, inflation, prices, sicknesses, diseases, food shortages, empty shelves—if My people…will humble themselves and pray and seek My face. I love what the Amplified translation of II Chronicles 7:14 says: “crave and require of necessity My face.”

There is something humbling about true prayer when we acknowledge our insufficiencies and look for divine assistance. He said, “if My people who are called by My name…Today, we point to everything our founding fathers did wrong, but they also did many things right. Yes, it took them a long time to figure some things out, and I hate that those things happened, but I still believe America is the best nation on earth. I would not want to live anywhere else. The song “America the Beautiful” has this plea: “America, America, God shed His grace on thee.” When our forefathers came to this land, they saw this nation as an outpost of the New Jerusalem, a city set on a hill.

In President Ronald Reagan’s farewell address, he reminded America it was to be a “shining city upon a hill.” God said, “If My people who are called by My name…” Yes, the first application of this verse was to the people of Israel. However, in the new covenant, the church is a spiritual Israel, and God is no respecter of persons. He still reigns in the heavens, and He is still a good God and Father. This Scripture means, if God’s people anywhere or at any time will do their part—humble themselves, pray, seek, and turn from their wicked ways—He will intervene on their behalf. God still responds to humble prayers. Humility must be restored to the church. Looks of arrogance, cockiness, and “holier than thou” must not be among us. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray…” God, take us deeper in prayer. Cause us to always maintain a healthy prayer life and prayer ministry. “If My people will…seek, [crave] My face.” Notice it did not say, “seek My hands.” Hands represent what God does for us. With His hands He multiplies bread and fish, but with His face He speaks to us. “Seek My face” means we seek His speech and personality.

“If My people will…turn from their wicked ways.” It is not enough to turn our hearts from wickedness, we must also turn our hearts toward God. God said, if we will do these things, not as a six-step method but as a principle, He will heal our land.
