We have spoken so many times about “Remnants”. The remnant is a recurring theme throughout the Hebrew and Christian Bible. It is “What is left of a community after it undergoes a catastrophe”. The remnant church is a visible, historical, organized body characterized by obedience to the commandments of God and the possession of a unique end-time gospel proclamation. Since 2016 a building barrage of attacks have come upon our nation’s freedoms and the church. This has been going on for decades. Now a full fruition of evil has come to the forefront. The remnant church is becoming more refined and focused as it appears is being surrounded from all sides.
It is always a bold courageous action that inspires others to make a stand. We see this happening today since the travesty of a fraudulent election in 2020. All throughout history praying remnants have risen up to meet the challenges of the day. It started with one person who was moved by God to begin a movement. Others then joined and caught the fire. When I think of the Smith sisters in the Hebrides Islands, the Fulton Street great awakening started by one man, Azusa St. in California, the Moreavians, Cane Ridge revivals and so many others it inspires me today that there is hope. The Lord always raises up a remnant to meet the challenges of the day.
Soldiers have always been sent into battle in the physical as well as a spiritual. Can the praying remnant be considered soldiers of Christ? Most definitely, it is they who bring victory. We are surrounded in so many ways today but be assured God is on the throne!
“Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” (Romans 11:5)
“You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2: 1-4)
