Yesterday, we discussed the word remnant. We will carry on that discussion today and this evening. The remnant is a recurring theme throughout the Hebrew and Christian Bible. A remnant is described as “What is left of a community after it undergoes a catastrophe”. We have seemingly been through a catastrophe regarding this fraudulent election which has led to negative consequences for the church. All throughout history when a nation has fallen to its lowest point, God divinely intervenes and raises up a people to pray. We must humbly realize that we have been selected to be used as God’s instrument to be part with so many others across the nation to save America.
The first remnant group to consider would be the Israelites. The Old Testament addressed them in Deuteronomy 14:2, “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the people who are on the face of the earth.” The remnant church today is a visible, historical, organized body characterized by obedience to the commandments of God and the possession of a unique end-time gospel proclamation.
A remnant always begins with one or more to begin a movement. Every prayer movement that has begun has a divine plan and purpose behind it. God has always in reserve those who will sacrifice their time, talents, and resources to meet any challenge that he already foreknew. Look at Nehemiah and the building of the wall. Our call tonight will look at some historical precedents that led to shifting history. It is up to us through God’s grace to shift this nation into a righteous standing with HIM. May we never become weary in well doing…. this is our time to rise and shine.
” I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,“Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”? But what does the divine response say to him? But what is the divine response to him? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” (Romans 11:1 – 4)
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly, therefore from now on you shall have wars.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
