When Jesus Christ permeates our culture, it helps people discern and live according to God’s will in the context of the respective cultural and religious traditions. Christianity has been intricately intertwined with the history and formation of Western society. The cultural influences of Christianity include social welfare, founding hospitals, economics, natural law (which would later influence the creation of international law), politics, architecture, literature, personal hygiene, and family life. Jesus Christ was chosen to be our Savior. His atonement makes it possible for us to be resurrected and to repent and be forgiven so we can return to our heavenly father’s presence. In addition to saving us from our sins, Jesus Christ, our Savior, also offers us peace and strength in times of trial.
Nature has its own rules and ideas and understanding, while grace, because it is above nature, can add to and complete nature. The advantage of this position is that it seeks to represent what is best in a culture before it brings the Christian addition to bear. Culture affects our faith in several ways. First, culture can influence what religious beliefs we hold. Secondly, culture can shape how we practice our religion. And finally, culture can impact the way we think about and experience religious concepts like God, prayer, and ritual. So, our Christian faith serves several functions for society. These include giving meaning and purpose to life, reinforcing social unity and stability, serving as an agent of social control of behavior, promoting physical and psychological well-being, and motivating people to work for positive social change.
There is a great deal of history that shows how Christians by following Jesus’ teachings changed the world. Last night I discussed the impact and influences that Christianity had on the cultural gateways of society. What would be like if Jesus was never born? We must answer this question and pass it on to other generations so they can understand that the elimination of Christianity in our culture is suicide. This is the battle we are in today as we try to strengthen the church with a Biblical Worldview.

Did you know it’s possible to be a foolish genius? That’s because having wisdom is much more than having a high IQ. Possessing wisdom, according to the Bible, isn’t having the ability to master a ton of information. Biblical wisdom is skill in living; it’s insight into how to put knowledge into practice. Wisdom isn’t just a head thing where you acquire facts; it also involves one’s heart where you submit to truth, even when you don’t understand it or agree with it. It requires one’s hands implementing truth at home, work, and school. So how do we acquire such skill and learn? According to the Bible, it’s the fear of the Lord that leads to wisdom (Psalm 111:10). Notice there are two ingredients for gaining wisdom– fear or reverence and God.
God is the source of all true, eternal wisdom (Proverbs 2:6). This makes perfect sense because God is the only wise God. In other words, He is inherently, intrinsically wise. If you want earthly wisdom, you can, of course, find plenty of that in this broken-down world. But James 3:13-18 reminds us of and experience shows us that earthly wisdom leads to selfishness and conflict. God’s wisdom, on the other hand, is reasonable, is without hypocrisy, and leads to peace. The second ingredient for gaining wisdom is fear or reverence. To show reverence is to treat something as holy. Central to such an attitude is humility. Reverent people aren’t arrogant know it all’s. They are open to input. In fact, they are hungry and desperate for a wiser person to help them gain understanding.
Do you want to be a wise person who makes wise plans and then carries them out efficiently? Do you want to engage others and relate to others in ways that lead to harmony and joy? Don’t make up your own moral code. Don’t rely on your own ethical ideas or actions. Instead, humbly ask the only wise God to show you how to proceed. If you ask in faith Without any doubting, you can be sure that God will lead you down the path of wisdom (James 1:5-6).

Day of equipping for reformers in Michigan. Pastor Peter Dresser is hosting Pastor Rob McCoy from California. He is the pastor of God Speak in California. His church came into the spotlight when it refused to close for Covid 19 restrictions and mandates imposed by the California government. He began spearheading a movement to oppose all government overreach which denies religious freedoms. Recently, they went after the progressive liberalized voting laws in California. They decided to go after them and use them for their own benefit, which would be the church. He is coming to Michigan to show us how to do that very thing here! – Click Here

*PRAYER IN THE STATE CAPITOL MARCH 9TH 12 NOON – 2 PM – ROOM 426
The second Thursday of each month we would be praying inside the state capitol building in Lansing. The Michigan House of Prayer will be leading in room 426. The meeting is from 12 Noon-2 PM. We will be setting up at 11:30 AM. We will be praying for righteousness to return to our state. Praying for any sick legislators, staff members, or personnel will also be part of our efforts. Of course, any crisis situations that will have risen on a state or national level will be covered. We will be praying over legislators to make wise and godly decisions. Praise and worship will be part of the format of our gatherings. We all know that God inhabits our praises! This is a sacrifice of our time and resources, but Michigan hangs in the balance! We believe for signs, miracles, and wonders to break out. This type of outbreak will get our legislators attention in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will go forth.
