40 Day Prayer Fast Devotional Day 8- Generosity

God loves a cheerful giver.  That really seems to be the only reason we need to give.

But who am I and who are my people that we should be permitted to give anything to you?  Everything we have has come from you, and we only give you what is yours.  1 Chronicles 29:14

Honor the Lord with our substance, and with the first fruits of all your increase: so that your barns will be filled with plenty…  Proverbs 3:9, 10

For is you give, you will get! Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over.  Whatever measure you use to give-large or small-will be used to measure what is given back to you.  Luke 6:38(TLB)

Let’s Pray: Father,we remember your words, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  Help us to give unselfishly and with a good attitude.  We declare that the enemy is bound from off our finances in accordance with Matthew 18:18 and loosed from the assignment against the Body of Christ, in the name of Jesus.

We declare that we are tithers and givers and that the favor of God rests upon our finances. Father, we thank you for increase and a spirit of generosity to flow through our lives.  Amen.
