1,000 Giving 1,000

Dear Friends,   I was stirred recently for the churches of Detroit, the Metro region/suburbs and the regions of our state to take ownership of TheCall coming to Ford Field on 11.11.11.

This 24 hour prayer gathering will be one of historical importance. 

My children and grandchildren are at stake.  This nation must be turned.  It will be through God’s Holy prescription – fasting and prayer.

Lou Engle has carried this financial burden for TheCall at Ford Field and the body of Christ in the state must break this.  Pastor Barbara Yoder suggested to me a plan a few months ago.  I was stirred this past week thinking about what she said.  As a confirmation, a lady E-mailed me that she wanted to give $1000.00 to TheCall.

There was a fire lit in my spirit to go forth.  Lou Engle and I met with Pastor Barbara Yoder this past week and we made a decision to do this to lift this burden. (Read her message below then click on her picture to hear the video.)

100% of the funds collected will be for TheCall – Detroit.  Can we raise a million dollars?  Are there 1000 individuals, ministries and churches in Michigan who will rise up?  Let Michigan be a model to the nation.  Can individual churches take up an offering with an abundance coming forth?  YES!  Can one give a widow’s mite – a small gift?  Everything is a sacrificial gift and we thank you no matter the offering.

Is the sign of winning sports teams in Detroit one of the coming intervention of God in Michigan?  Possibly… but I am more excited about what is going to be released in Michigan and the nation.  We declare an abundant flow of finances in Jesus name.

I had a meeting with Lou Engle (The Call) and Rick Warzywak (Transformation Michigan) today. I began to sense the tremendous financial burden that Lou was carrying for the CALL Detroit. As I pondered the challenge, I heard in my spirit, “what’s the problem?” A wind of faith hit me for the full financing of the CALL Detroit. I blurted out, “all it would take would be 1000 churches (or individuals) giving $1000.

I don’t just feel, I know, and believe that TheCall Detroit is going to be very significant for not only Detroit and Michigan – but also for the nation. There is going to be a strategic explosive breakthrough, a sudden deliverance that occurs. We have entered a time when God is going to suddenly deliver cities, states and nations. What has held Detroit captive is going to let go. What Detroit ends up looking like, the nation will look like in 10 years. We need to go for broke to see Detroit changed. This is our time and our opportunity, something many of us have been working towards for years.

If I believe that this is a gathering called of God, planned of God to ultimately affect my nation, and it is being held in the state and city I have both lived in and love, then what am I going to do about it? For one thing, I want to give into it. Because Detroit’s victory will become my victory I want to plant financial seed into it. I want a piece of the harvest and my money represents seed that I can sow into this event and reap a harvest from. Therefore I am going to write a $1000 check for this event today.

I appeal to all of you today to not just give what you think you can give but to give what God speaks to you to give. This is not just about you and I; it’s about our children and our children’s children. I want to create a city and state known for breakthrough, one which enters into a divine season of transformation, ushered in by a key event releasing explosive city wide deliverance. I want my children to live in a place known for its holy visitation, a place where God sovereignly moved in because a people dared to believe and then act to make it happen. I want them to live under an open heaven.

We are praying, have prayed and will continue to pray. Each of us also are challenged to take ownership of this CALL by giving. I have watched God break through again and again because I dared to give sacrificially. And the Word speaks so specifically about giving in Malachi 3 and in 2 Corinthians 9.

The money is needed now to secure Ford Field as well as to finance all the resources necessary to pull off the CALL. So I appeal to both churches and individuals to plant your seed into your future by financially sowing into the CALL now.

REMEMBER: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.
God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. We must be giving to the need in reckless abandon. God’s right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out.  This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God. 1 Corinthians 9:6-11 – (Message Bible).
