Humility is to show submission or meekness; it is a quality or state of being humble.
Have you done a word study on humility lately? Which verses is the HOLY SPIRIT using to
grip your spirit? Proverbs 11:2. Or Pv. 15:33. Or maybe Pv. 22:4. Possibly Colossians 3:12.
How about I Peter 5: 5b? “…And all of you, serve each other in humility, for God opposes the proud but favors the humble.’ (Proverbs 3:34)
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of GOD, and at the right time He will lift you
up in honor.”
Take the Ben Franklin challenge and practice humility for a week – all your waking hours.
Heavenly Father I bow in submission to Your call to humility. I want to be a doer of the word,
not just a listener. I seek to walk obediently this week as I practice what You have called me
to become. Help me keep my heart focused on humility as I meet every situation this week.
Thank you, JESUS, for the transforming instruction You will give me this week. In Your precious
