Will the challenges we are facing overshadow the differences amongst us?

As I see unfolding events throughout the world and in our nation, it is hard to believe why parts of the body of Christ still remain so divided many times.  We see the unrest in the Middle East, Earthquake(s) in Japan and a nuclear catastrophe still unfolding (not being reported), storms in the South, our nation’s debt and economic difficulties – must I go on.  The world is shaking!  We need Divine intervention and that will come only if there is unity in the church (Psalm 133 and John 17).  A house divided will not stand.

There is unity in our diversity which is possible through the grace of God.  Is there any good news in Michigan?  Yes!  I do see a change taking place throughout our state.

There is a realization that our challenges we are facing today will override the differences among each other.

Forgiveness, the love of God, hearts of reconciliation and restoration are keys in this process.  I am seeing races coming together in prayer, as well as a unity in various ministries transpiring.  Issues of the past are being let go of so we can allow the favor of God and His commanded blessing to flow.  Cities across the state are seeing the church come together.  We are being given a Divine window of opportunity.  Never forget, there is power in agreement when we pray.

Are there still difficulties in regions among the body Christ in Michigan?  Do we still see the accusing of the brethren taking place?  Are people still not letting go of the past?  Is there still doctrinal fighting?  The answer is yes to all of these.  But, there is a change taking place that will not be stopped.  God is on the move in our state.  Michigan will be a model to the nation.

May all jealousies, competiveness, envious thoughts, and past offenses cease in Jesus name.  May God arise and our enemies be scattered.

There is power in agreement through our prayers.
