Humility
Philippians 2:1-12
Our greatest example of humility is the example of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Very one who created all things came to earth and humbled himself becoming a servant to do the will of his heavenly father. This portion of scripture in Philippians 2 explains how humility responds, “being one in spirit, with one purpose, selflessness not having selfish ambition or conceited. Being Humble of mind is regarding one another above yourself and looks to their interests not just your own. As we humble ourselves not only to the Lord but to one another, This will truly portray the life and attitude of Christ
Prayer:
Jesus, forgive me,(us) as we have embraced as normal within the church, our selfish pride and religious arrogance I ask you to give me your attitude of humility and love towards others. I ask you for a renewed mind so my thoughts are pure, created in me a yielded heart that I will become like a servant to do the Fathers will, I ask you for a humble heart and mind, and grace that I would willingly lay down my life for your kingdom and for one another. I ask this for your Glory, In Jesus Name. Amen.
