The Harvest: Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV) “ 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Prayer: Lord you said the harvest fields are ripe, white, ready for picking. We do ask today that you would mature the church and send out the laborers into the harvest field that the lost might be saved, the prisoners set free, the bound be loosed, and the imprisoned set free. Lord send us forth suddenly. Do not let the enemy mock you any longer, let him who has been stealing steal no longer. Fill the laborers with keen wisdom, insight, and radical obedience. Let multitudes from every tongue and nation come to you this year, this month, this week, and today! Glorify your name. Amen and amen!
Divine Grace: James 4:6-7 (AMP) “But He gives us more and more grace (Power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully), That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).”
This is difficult for our minds to conceive at times. Because from an earthly perspective we tend to view things as being limited. We struggle with the limitless supply of Christ that is available to those who believe. We think in terms of our earthly parents who could only “give so much” and then were perhaps tapped out! However, God never tires, never wearies, never taps out! God is not diminished one bit in His fullness when He gives us all that we need and then some. In fact, it’s our own ability to receive that limits us. He gives us more and more and more and more and yet he’s never lessened as a result. He’s still all the fullness of God. The beauty of this verse is that He continually, in season and out, when we are on our knees, or in the midst of the battle, offering us more and more grace that we may abound in all things! Is there something you need grace for today? Simply ask.
Prayer: Dearest Lord, please give us a greater revelation of your grace, not only as the unmerited favor that you have given us in Christ, but also as the unlimited supply of everything we need for life and Godliness, through Christ Jesus our Lord. Fill your bride to overflowing, help us to receive all the grace you desire to give us in this life, and to fulfill your perfect will for our lives. Grace us to bring you great pleasure, joy, and comfort as we commune with you and humbly receive the power you so courageously died to give us. In Jesus beautiful name, Amen and amen!
